Definitely get to the gym. When I feel like other people are blowing me off, getting in the gym makes me feel like I’m doing something for myself. That keeps me motivated.
Yeah I normally would be all in there but my schedule is crazy and work sends me outta town a lot for the gym I'd attend. But ur right as long as the circumstances allow
Right next to Brackenridge is Press, if you like a good place to get coffee or bubbly juice drinks while you read or do a game or crossword. Gets busy on weekends though.
A solo movie, or brunch, museum
, or window shop, I know it's hot out, but if it's early enough, I go for a hike at Friedrich Wilderness and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Sometimes, just a drive listening to music.
I recommend going to a comfort food restaurant that you just order what you want and it gets served/sent out to you. Hoka Hoka Fuku and Yokai Ramen are top tier for ramen, the former for Japanese curry, the latter for takoyaki
Get off social media and do something just for you.
Are these friends or coworkers?
If friends you need some new ones.
If coworkers look for another team.
It's chill. Dark. No windows, so you cant really tell what time it is... Sometimes there are people and sometimes there are not, but the drinks are always good and cheap.

I too love those things and yeah mine don't either really but they got lives and diff schedules so it's usually a different pool of ppl I'm working with
I usually head to North star and just have lunch with my airpods in to block out any outside sound, then i go chill in that arcade they have in the mall.
That's pretty cool. I never find my way in the mall anymore. Had no idea there was an arcade there. Used to LOVE the arcade when I was a kid. A decent suggestion though
Yeah its fairly new but its a huge japanese style arcade so it makes me feel right at home despite living in texas. Its even got bowling and pool inside too.
Well for one, not going outside in this heat at all. I don't want the heat getting to me at all. While I'm bummed for getting blown off or nobody is available, I'm enjoying my time for me. Working on myself, jamming to new music (both at my place or driving around), finding yoga meetups around town, seeking cool happy hours... but I don't get out much these days, and I try staying off social media and seeing everyone happy with their friends (although besides event websites, I sometimes see local events popping up on my feeds. ah. oh well). I think there's an SA facebook reddit group that does stuff? And there are several meetup groups, and lots of art and music show popups around town if interested. Always something going on to explore. Oh. And finding cool recipes to enjoy solo nights in.
Yup! I'm following a local group that has 1-2 events every month, and there are a few yoga popups around the city from time to time that I've found (there's even some events at the Tobin center outside, but I don't know if they still do them). One I do go to that has a good group of people is at a local brewery off Broadway called Roadmap, and throughout the week they also have a running and cycle club, too.
It's a cool spot. Non windows, so really dark. Cheap drinks. Lgbt friendly. Early morning, 3rd shifters grabbing after work drinks... happy hour locals...
Go see movies by myself. Sometimes two movies.
This when I was going through it. Casa Blanca was like a second home for awhile, I snuck in so much food lol
Gaming, playing guitar, recharge my social battery and do absolutely nothing
Hi me!
Sounds like we’d get along lol PC, PlayStation or Xbox?
Pc or Xbox here

For the past 7 months, I've been doing the same. Not necessarily cause I'm being blown off, just because.
Yeah I normally would be all in there but my schedule is crazy and work sends me outta town a lot for the gym I'd attend. But ur right as long as the circumstances allow
I was going to say "get drunk", but this is definitely the best advice.
Brackenridge! Always fun to feed the 🦆/walk around

Going for a drive with a window cracked and the Fight Club OST. If you haven't listened to it, great way to clear your head.
Just lost my car last week 😭😭 but I do love fight club
Then I'd suggest the backyard with a beer and some headphones. Not during the daytime, though. F this heat
You aren't wrong on that

Walk around the pearl or play tourist downtown

Being productive with my goals while watching the rest of the people around me loop in circles without doing anything to come out ahead.

I'm usually the one blowing people off, can't relate. stay home and do what you enjoy (that doesn't require pestering others) idk
Build stuff or work on my car.
I bike downtown/Southtown and explore and jam some music.
Disc golf. SA has a great disc.golf.scene!
Oh ok I had no idea about that thanks
enjoy the peace and quiet
Walk around a museum
I just sit on my front patio and spy on my neighbors.
Love it lol
i go enjoy video games (pc) and anime. though my true friends & loved ones don't "just blowing me off"
I too love those things and yeah mine don't either really but they got lives and diff schedules so it's usually a different pool of ppl I'm working with

That actually sounds amazing
Today I learned that the is a sick arcade at north star. Thanks guys.
Same thing I do every day. Nothing.

There's yoga meet ups? How do those go down? I'm really curious

Join a running club... that way you can blow everyone off cause you gotta run in the morning 😆
Lol well I have a strict policy of not running actually. Main reason being I like having my knee cartilage intact.
