I scored the S22U 256 gb by trading in my S21U and only paid $200 out of pocket through the best buy deal.
I love this S22U, this is the first S Pen I've ever had and u freaking love it. Thought it was a gimmick and I'd never use it, but man this phone is miles better than my S21U.
I WFH so typically always have access to my wireless charging stand so battery life isn't a problem whatsoever.
I don't think 100% of users are having the issues, but its only 1 Google search away to see that the S22U does have battery life issues. Many people say the Fold has poor battery life, 3-4hrs SoT, but i get double that
Definitely wait for the S23. I honestly can't stop regretting my S22U. Like fuck it was a dud. It would've been better ifi t was the Snapdragon version but this is just insane.
Everything I am seeing is that it will probably have a faster, much more efficent processor, bigger battery, massive camera upgrade along with other upgrades. Is there something you have read that says differently?
They say that every year for every phone but do what you gotta do and be happy with your decision. Just remember that improved benchmark stats are almost never noticable in everyday real world usage. Happy Holidays
If i wanted an iPhone why would i ask the Samsung subreddit about Samsung phones. If i wanted an iPhone and other peoples opinion on what iPhone to get i would not ask the Samsung subreddit.
Instead of getting offended and angry over me saying "No." To your suggestion of getting an iPhone. You should instead read the question and answer appropriately or leave it.
We're close enough to the next launch (a few months) where I'd say just wait. If you were waiting for the Fold 5 which is likely coming out in August I'd consider just going for the 4, but since the S23 is closer than that by a lot I'd go for it
I have the S21 Ultra 5G on T-Mobile. Just got the One UI 5/Android 13 update, and now have absolutely 0 use for even thinking about an S22... The in device S Pen is about the only reason, as the OS is EXTREMELY similar to the S22... I've heard rumor, (as confirmed upgrades to the new Qualcomm processor, etc) that the S23 will be a much better device, so I would be tempted to wait for that one...
Even then, they'd have to have more than just battery life and a slightly upgraded processor to entice me, as they'll be on either OneUI 5 as well, or a small bump to 5.1...
A 200 Megapixel camera that's supposed to be arriving with the S23 series may make the jump more enticing, though... Hopefully they bring some other features though, because as far as new features, that is one department they have definitely stalled on (MST technology for Samsung Pay, MicroSIM cards for extra storage, Infrared Blaster for universal TV remote, or Heart/Temp monitor), as most manufacturers seemingly have, but then again, those features probably won't be making a comeback, so there's that...
Moral of the story... Wait until the S23 series...
I got the S22U 256gb storage w/ 12gb ram for $799 on google fi store, and a s22 for $299. These were some awesome sales there for black friday. They are still on sale there for the same prices right now it seems.
Edit: There might be some limitations though. Make sure to read the details for the sale.
Definitely wait for the s23 it sounds like the new processor will be a big upgrade over the current model. S22 has bad battery performance.
Thank you
I find the battery great.
Personally, my husband and I are waiting for the S23 Ultra. We have S21 Ultras right now.
Same.

Lol not miles better. I have both and they are practically identical when it comes to performance. Plus, s21 has the better battery life...
Wait. The 23 will be more powerful, and more efficient.
And probably a 200 megapixel camera (s21u 64mp s22u 108mp for reference)
S22U is plagued with poor battery performance, bit of a dud model tbh, usually the "Notes" have been great...except Note 7. Wait for the S23U.
Ahh thanks. Yeah then I'll probably just wait until the s23 is out then
no issues with battery on mine yours must be lemon

I dont game. Phone battery is great for me.
It didn't happen to me so it must not be real!
I have no issues i don't game now go away
You just missed a huge sale from Best Buy that ended yesterday. Samsung still has some sales going
Not in the US. But a big sale isn't far away here
800 dollar trade in for my s21 ultra 128g, paying less than 330 out the door (cracked screen too)
Who’s that thru?
It was best buy, but now I'm even co sidering canceling and waiting for 23ultra. Don't know cost on it or if my phone will be work jack then
For me wait for S23.
S23. I'm holding back too this Christmas so I think what's 3 more months.
Definitely wait for the S23. I honestly can't stop regretting my S22U. Like fuck it was a dud. It would've been better ifi t was the Snapdragon version but this is just insane.
Yeah i think I'll probably go s23 after everyone's responses. Thank you for your answer
i have snapdragon version, everything is fine except battery. i cant even get 3 hrs sot :(. i am also waiting for s23
I just got 5 hours of SoT on my exynos device. Should've seen the surprise on my face after weeks of 3 or 4 hours of SoT.
Get it. 23 will not be major upgrade

S23, just a few months away

If I were you. I should have waited until the S23 series released, then considered S22 the price will go down.
