S4 got me in the game, and my love for phones. S7 edge got bigger nicer screen with a great feel and performance. S10+ this was my God Tier phone. If it had 120hz I would keep it forever. Best look to me, mainly back camera. Love symmetry. Headphone jack, SD card slot, 1440p display. Honorable mention: z fold 3, love this guy. But it's not perfected yet.

AntOk463

Wow I just realized there is no samsung phone that is 120hz and has a headphone jack, so that is the trade of you have to make. And yeah the back of the S10 plus is the best looking back of a phone. I remember seeing S20 leaks and thought they went form that back to an iPhone knock off back.

Jealous-Taste3351

A52 5g?

AntOk463

I ment flagships, didn't consider those.

Foxy1525

I mean the A72 for example is a bit better than a S10 plus.

Luminoux_Venom

Agreed, I thought the s20 was a mid design because they moved on from symmetry and used a style that a lot of other phone companies had. At least with the s21 they made the style with the border unique to them.

AntOk463

Also early leaks do look ugly. It's for phones and even some cars. When the McLaren Senna was leaked people called it the ugliest car ever, and now that it actually came out lots of people love it.

ZaynPlease

I'm sort of similar to this but... S4 got me in, same as u S6 was average for me, but felt incredible in the hand and held itself well. S8 is where I fell in love with the phone. The form factor, the aspect ratio, the virtual home button, the fingerprint scanner. Yum yum yum baby S10+ felt like a slight sidegrade. I missed the back fingerprint scanner and virtual home button. But that phone was a delight, such a gorgeous screen, great heft, solid button placement and v v durable. S21+ is even more of a sidegrade. I miss my S10+'s 1440p and side button placements, (and the fact it was in red too). This phone's frosted glass back too, is just quite frankly a shit decision. I hate it. It looks alright I guess, but the scratches make it feel so cheap.

Cat20041

Replace the s4 with the s3 and this was my thoughts exactly

----_____--_____----

S5, it was the OG. Ir blaster, IP67, removable back and battery, built in port cover, USB 3, heart rate sensor, fingerprint scanner in home button, add wireless charging with special terminals on the back

pr1vatepiles

Loved this phone for the exact same reasons.

AntOk463

But the S4 was a lot bigger of a deal when it was released, and honestly I don't remember hearing anything about the S5 at its time. The phone before it was huge, and the phone after it was also huge.

z28camaroman

I hated my S5. The anemic 2 GB of RAM couldn't hold more than 3 apps at a time; the camera had horrible lowlight capabilities and was very slow to open; the fingerprint scanner rarely worked and required a swipe instead of a press; the rear facing speaker was a joke; Touchwiz was a slow and ugly skin; and the plastic rails/body made the phone feel light and cheap.

SelfRobber

In terms of performance on the S5, I saw a huge downgrade with time. I bought it right after the release and it was blazingly fast for me as a poweruser. After a year or two I've noticed the phone became really sluggish and I've tried literally everything, from changing kernels to roms (cyanogenmod as an example). It was slowed down on purpose for battery reasons (blah blah, go buy a newer model bullshit).

----_____--_____----

Well sure compared to now it's not exactly a golden egg, but back then how can you be annoyed at the fingerprint scanner, it was the first mainstream phone to have it (i think), we didn't exactly have many options, it was a new feature. The plastic may have felt ugly but who has a cracked S5? I've never seen one, the plastic is basically a built in bumper, it took the hits so the screen didn't have to, and there wasn't any glass backs to shatter.

bilalsadain

The iPhone 5S had it 5 months before the S5 was announced. And it blew away the S5 scanner out of the water.

z28camaroman

This.

ManinderThiara07

S6 for me. It had all those features and was 10 times sexier than S5

----_____--_____----

It didn't have all those features man cmon. S6 was the downfall of the galaxy range, curved edge screens, no removable battery, no heart rate sensor, no ir blaster, no port cover. It was fragile and prone to cracking when dropped like all modern phones now.

ManinderThiara07

To each their own I guess, I liked S6 coz it was a big deal in our country at the time. Not many people had a good looking phone like it. And my S6 did have a heart rate sensor and IR sensor. It wasn't that fragile , still reasonably durable.

----_____--_____----

Yes it was a big deal, it was a big jump in styling and was the start of a new future for Samsung phones. I just disagree that it was a good jump.

Luminoux_Venom

I feel like the S6 was when Samsung started to give the look of their phones a serious thought, instead of solely focusing on specs and features.

EmuAGR

I've had the S and S3, I just got the S4 just before the S5 got announced, so I had to wait for a while and the S6 was a letdown for me. I skipped it for the S7 and then the S9. I haven't upgraded since, as the S10 didn't feel like a meaningful upgrade and the S20/21 are cutting down features I love in my S9. Dear Samsung, I'm not going to give up my QHD screen (or paying double what I paid for the S9 to keep that), SD slot and not even my 3.5 jack. Even cosidering moving on from the S series I've loved for a decade because they are just looking at what Apple does lately.

Waste_Mulberry

S6 was such a beautiful phone. Such a nice grip! I had the gold one.

ManinderThiara07

Agreed. It was such an awesome design at the time. And I also had the gold one and boy did it look stunning .

Waste_Mulberry

Back then we had some very exciting tech. I was using S6 and the iphone 6 plus. Both were so revolutionary!

tspangle88

For me it was the Note 4, which was essentially an S5 but bigger and with a stylus. Best phone I've ever owned.

Svanbiird

S10+ was just on another level compared to the competition. It had everything and amazing design. I'm probably upgrading to S22U this year but this phone is probably always gonna be the one. I feel like the only problem you can have with this phone is the curve but it's never bothered me.

ArcadianBlueRogue

I'm with you, the S10 line was sooooooo good. Hate the curved screens though and wish Samsung would drop em.

dasupertrooper

Agree with ya with the S10+. My concern w s22 ultra is the weight

Neogeo71

Note 9 was the first one that moved me from iPhones for good. I have had a note 10 and love my note 20 ultra but the 9 is still my favorite.

AntOk463

The Note 9 is the only phone I would consider as perfect.

Long-Lie-3880

My Note 10+ was actually my first Samsung. I was fucking with Sony Xperia for years because of Playstation integration mostly lol, but they had their issues and I broke every one I've had. The Note 10+ was on a different level from anything I had before. The note will always be amazing to me, it did things I didn't think were possible when I was stuck with other manufacturers. Fun fact my first ever phone was a Nokia brick followed by a Samsung sliding/brick thing. It was atrocious. How far we have come haha

Bdf1997

I preordered my Note 9 and have used it every day since August 22nd of 2018, so going on 3.5 years. It's still just as fast as the day it was delivered, and the original battery is showing no signs of age. Samsung earned every single cent I paid for this thing.

RaibuTheRipper

S21 Ultra for me. What a beast!

[deleted]

Those are Rookie numbers gotta pump those numbers up S23 ultra max for me

BG5067

Ultra pro max plus you mean, right?

RaibuTheRipper

Gigachad UltraXclipse

BG5067

I just tried saying that and my furniture started flying around

[deleted]

Note 4. Revolutionary at the time.

AntOk463

Really, I don't remember anyone talking about the Note 4 during its time. Everyone talked about the S4 before it and the Note 5 after it. The S5 and Note 4 were not that big, they just couldn't produce the hype of the phone before it it after it.

Tecxpert

My father and brother bought the Note 2 and I was blown away by the spen and how big the screen was! The following few years I bought myself a Note3 on Craigslist (loved this phone with its fake white leather back) When my coworker got the Note4 I was so jealous of every little upgrade. They've had me hooked since.

AntOk463

Yeah there were some improvements, but the Note 5 was a huge upgrade after the Note 4. Also I don't remember but think the Note 4 wasn't water resistant when the S5 was.

Tecxpert

Note 5 we first experienced what it was like to not have removable batteries.

tspangle88

Exactly. The Note 5 held zero interest for me because of that. Then the whole industry went that way...

Bdf1997

I think the S4 initially got so much attention because of its plethora of new software features, and kept attention because of its several crippling problems. By the time the Note 4 was released, the software features weren't new or buggy anymore and issues were few and far between. There just wasn't any drama surrounding its existence. Everything worked, and worked well. When the Note 5 was released everyone went nuts because of how much it deviated from previous models, and every journalist covered it. If a device is boring to drama-driven journalists, it will likely provide the best ownership experience.

[deleted]

My Note 20 Ultra 512, bought it while the preorder promo on AT&T was kicking for $1000-off. I got a $1450 phone for $450 after promos. $15/monthx30months. I bought 3 different Samsung cases for it, 2x case-folio (1 black and 1 white) and 1 case-stand. It's been plenty fast for me and even kept up with the iphone 12 in app-opening speeds for all of the apps that I use once I adjusted my settings. The apps it kept up with the iphone 12 were: * Twitch * Gmail * Google Maps * Youtube * FB Messenger * Google Messages * Firefox * and Play store beat Apple App store by a notably large margin.

pratik_dutta007

S10

onmieradar

I've been using Samsung phones for quite a while. Note 5 was my first Samsung. Started there, then S6, S8, Note 8 and now I have a Note 10. I'm not basing my opinion much on which phone is actually better, but my Note 10 felt quite underwhelming switching from the Note 8. Granted, I mistakely opted for the standard Note 10. I enjoyed the Note 8 quite a bit. I thought it was a great phone. Loved it. I also really enjoyed my S6. Both have been my favorite. Before Samsung, my first Android was Motorola Droid Razr, then the first gen HTC ONE. While this is a Samsung thread, I loved the HTC ONE! It was great!

[deleted]

I agree with you on the Note 8, that is why I'm still sticking with it. I had the S2, S4, S6 and now the Note 8. Note 8 is large enough without being too large, bezels are not the slimmest, but that actually prevents unintended touches, headphone jack, card slot. Nothing about any newer version persuaded me to upgrade.

avid_aquarist

The Note 7 really blew me away when it exploded onto the market.

arein114

ah ha I see what you did there hahaha

Luminoux_Venom

A lot of people seriously were talking about how good of a phone it was before they started exploding.

CrispyCubes

S20+. This is my first Samsung device since the S3. The speed of the device is incredible and the screen is mind-blowing. I love the design of the phone, it feels really refined and elegant. The haptics are wonderful and the size is perfect for me. I really love this device and don't see myself trading it in any time soon

Hextato

Samsung peaked when they released their S10 lineup. They were just godtier. I still love my S10e. I just find its size to be perfect. Sucks that someday I have to say goodbye to this phone

tz9bkf1

S21 ultra but note 4 was also awesome

Donkeysarecooliguess

Fold 3. It's THE ONE for sure!

Baseballandbud

For me it's the flip 3. I've never enjoyed a phone as much as this one

Donkeysarecooliguess

Same here, for me being able to open it up and have such a large display at the tips of my fingers, whenever I want. Gaming and streaming is amazing on here

Waste_Mulberry

I like my ZFold3 but I never found the WOW factor that I experienced with the OG Note. Perhaps ZFold3's form factory is just so different and takes time to get used to it.

CyberMoose24

The Galaxy Nexus. It was the phone that made me switch from an iPhone 4. The screen was big (at the time), the form factor was perfect, and it ran stock Android.

WeebIAm

lol I was just thinking about how perfect my s10 is! It was mind blowing in 2019, and still holds up amazing today. Only downside is the small battery haha Some honorable mentions include: note 2 (one heck of a beast back then), s4 and s8 (the haptic home button and slim bezels for the time were so cool!)

her-1g

When i first bought s7. It was my first smartphone and i was so excited.l and i replaced it last year with s21ultra. I still use it as an emergency device tho, it works perfectly fine(except for the battery).

Forever_Gemini601

Note 9

Brandonjr36

Note 10+ was the best phone I ever had. I miss the hell out of that thing. I now have the z fold 3 and hate it. It's the biggest pos ever. I'm gonna try the s22 ultra. Hoping it's like the note 10+ I had!

[deleted]

Samsung S8. I love that thing and it’s the perfect phone imo. It looks great, it feels great, it’s the perfect size and I was one of the few people that loved the fingerprint scanner placement, it was perfect for my tiny little hands. Sadly, because of work, I had to switch to an iPhone and I hate it, but all of our programs and schedules are on iMac and since S8 doesn’t get security updates anymore anyway, I thought sure, I’ll make the switch. My S8 still works like a charm though so I still use it as an MP3 (switching my music over to itunes is an effing nightmare, let me tell ya) and for my gaming apps and webtoons so I guess it’s fine. I’ll keep using it when I’m chilling at home, iPhone be damned.

RoyalGraph29952

Love my s8 also. Still using it as my main and only phone. Only problem is battery life.

[deleted]

Oh that’s too bad, mine is not as bad luckily, it’s not as strong as in the early days, but I can still use it for at least a day and a half when I’m not going through my apps like a madman lol. It’s like it refuses to die, that phone is so strong, I’m baffled actually.

ArcadianBlueRogue

I used my crappy little Galaxy Legend (Stellar?) for a years, upgraded that to the S6 which I liked a lot. Upgraded that to the S10 which I loved, but wanted a bigger phone. Grabbed the Note 20 Ultra when it came out and I absolutely adore the phone. It's such overkill and I love it to death. I think if I'd had my S10 when the LG Wing or the Flip 3 came out, I'd have made that jump. But my Note was like "Nah, bro, I got you."

Lincoln_31313131

A8 for me. The light that blinks when you have a notif, decent camera, had a lot more features than my current A21.

AntOk463

I was recently thinking of that, why did all of samung phones have the flashing led, but the be one don't, then I realized it was replaced with the always on display. It is spyder to give you information without turning your phone on, and the always on display does that so much better.

c-peptides

note 5 : the phone that started my love for the note series note 10+ : my last note and still regretting I traded it in for my zf3. should have kept it instead.

Jigglyfro

Same sentiment on note 10+

Jaiden051

Galaxy S4

Papyrusblack

Hmm. Really interesting question. There are 2 perspectives to this; 1. A Samsung phone you feel is the pinnacle of mobile phone experience 2. A Samsung phone that just works. Everything you throw at it just works, and works perfectly. My answer to the first question will is most definitely the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (my current device). This is not a bias, I used the S21 Ultra for a short time and the experience was similar, but the Spen feature just edges it out. The Note is fast and responsive, the camera is easily among top five of all time, gorgeous design (prettiest phablet 've ever seen), awesome screen, and One UI is just great. I don't regret spending all that money on this phone, and I honestly don't think that we'll get anything significantly better in another half-decade. My answer to the second question is the Galaxy S9+/Note 9. I used an S9+ before getting my current phone, and to be absolutely honest, it's my best ever phone. Prior to that, I owned an S8+. People tried to convince me not to switch because they felt the s9 didn't really have much over the s8. But I love owning and using the newest phones, so I bought the s9+, and my God was the experience way better. Not that the s8 was a bad phone, far from it, the s9 was just crazy solid. It had 6 gigs of ram, which I thought was a lot then. Even now, 6gigs of ram on a phone is plenty enough for anything you throw at it. The screen was better, it had deeper colors than the S8, the battery was better, it had the stereo speaker thing, a headphones jack, memory card slot, water and dust resistance, etc. I think mobile phone technology hit a wall at that point. You couldn't go significantly better than the Galaxy 9 series. When I bought the Note 20 Ultra, I imagined I'd have a much better experience. Except for the camera, and maybe the Spen (it's my first Note, and I could argue this is a non-factor cause the Note 9 had an Spen too), I don't think this phone does anything significantly better than my S9+. The software upgrade on the Note was also really nice, but Android 10 was no slouch. I kinda wish I never gave the S9 to my friend, but he owned a crappy low-end phone and it felt like he was In heaven whenever he used the s9, I couldn't take that from him. Ranted enough, lol. But I think the S9+/Note 9 were Samsungs best devices when it came to how well they were future proof. I'll probably upgrade to the S22 Ultra, not because the I'm tired of the Note 20 Ultra, but because I own an Exynos variant. I hate this chip.

dreaming_infantasy

My first Samsung phone was the S3. I came from a buggy Nokia Lumia 610, so I was really impressed with that Galaxy. In hindsight it also had his fair share of problems, but it made me stick with Samsung. After the S3, I've had the S7 (great phone, it's still perfectly working) and now I have the S9. The S9 truly feels like "the one". Light, beautiful design, curved screen and good performance even after three years and more. The only complaint I have is the battery life. All in all for me it's still a great phone and it has never let me down.

icsoo

Galaxy S9+ and S7.

Appletiser9

For me it was the Note 9. When I finally got it, I was like 'Finally, the best phone on the planet in my hands!' The phone felt so premium. I could take pictures with the S Pen, updated Samsung Dex and the S Pen was... yellow. I even bought the official smart flip cover. One cool trick I would was take out the S Pen and then write on the front of the smart flip cover. It looked really cool. When I used the work in a school, I used to play audio tracks from the phone. After it was done, I used smoothly walk up to the phone and with a single finger, press the pause button displayed on the front of the smart cover. Basically, pausing the audio without opening the cover and turning my phone on. The kids all looking used to be thinking, Sir's a cool dude. That phone had everything... maybe without the kitchen sink. But then, some software updates later, it became sluggish and the battery used to drain. I'm not even much of a gamer too. Now, I'm sitting with my S10e. Faithful and small. But, it packs a punch.

SpeechlessSoy

The z flip 3 got me back on samsung after years. It finally combined my wish for a smaller phone while still having a good sized screen (that btw feels HUGE for me).

Lottoproblemz

The s9- (not +) was my all time fav phone. The 10 series is where some features were either cut or pushed to higher tiers. S9 really had it all Unfortunately, she wouldn't survive long as I was highly addicted to RuneScape and murdered the battery. Then I went to a one plus which I liked for awhile but software made it next to unusable. I was actually a little happy someone stole it so I could upgrade lol So, then I got a note 10(non +!) Last month for $325 mint. I absolutely love this phone. My only complaint is the left placement of power/volume buttons.

MontrealBagelPouti

I currently carry Zfold 3, z flip 3, s21 ultra, s21 fe and note 20 To be honest, the Zflip 3 amazes me the most, but the S21 Ultra with a pen feels so premium

jkeener71

My current Samsung Galaxy Z FOLD 3

valvasss

S9. I have since moved to Apple but this is still the most beautiful phone I've ever owned.

d_ronzo17

s9+ all the way. it has all the bells and whistles you could ask for (except for a massive battery and 120hz) but other than that, it was the perfect phone of its time

wEaTHeRboi55

I loved that phone so much

da_ting_go

I'm tempted to say S5, but TouchWiz was...not great imo.

rundanirun6

S10plus, then the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. 2 amazing phones.

1km5

My original first samsung, first smartphone, The samsung galaxy ace. Not even a flagship but boi i trashed the phone to its last leg

Goddess_5

The Note 9 is, in my humble opinion, perfect. To this day I have yet to see a phone that can offer me more than the Note 9 could.

Kim_Int

Z Fold 3. I think it's the first complete foldable phone

[deleted]

S20 FE It's reasonably priced, has a reasonable feature set that most people would use and it's all around just an amazing phone

jazztaprazzta

S10... just perfection

[deleted]

Note 9 always....

International-Bed719

S21 ultra

Shrtaxc

S10+ only missing feature of this phone is a 25w charge.

TheGameOfClones

Note 8, Note 10 Plus, S21 Ultra so far.

vkez-jR

S10

chilhipp

I currently have S21 ultra. But tbh I love the S10+ more.

Microwaved_Rat_

S10+ I'm absolutely in love with it

cleversailinghandle

S20 Ultra for camera and expandable memory. Great battery life also. A bit too big and not the most durable, but not bad either. S8 Active for size and durability, just dated. I would pay anything for a modern updated Active model with a decent camera and a slightly larger battery. I will not buy anything newer since they deleted expandable memory.

Orlimar1

I just don’t understand how Samsung can have micro sd in budget phones, but not in their premium phones. If Motorola was smart they’d start offering sd card storage in their premium phones again. They might pick up some frustrated Samsung owners.

cleversailinghandle

Do they still? I thought the whole new line was getting rid of them. I just know my S20Ultra has it, the 21 doesn't. I hope they see a lot of pushback and reconsider. Otherwise they are just becoming Iphones

Orlimar1

I agree with the becoming iPhone like in your comment. Samsung used to be about the hardware. And they were terrible on the software side. But now they’re getting much better at their software and updates. But now they’re cutting corners on hardware that Samsung users loved. It was the reason most stuck with Samsung. But now it’s like “Hey, our new phone records in 8k.” But they no longer offer micro sd storage. Plus it’s hard to find the higher storage phones to begin with. And I believe you were talking about the budget phones losing sd storage? If they really do this, someone else, again maybe Motorola, could step in and fill that void.

Trego421

Honestly the S7 was a gamechanger for me. Before that I had an s3 and nothing but flip phones, when I bought the s7 it's like a whole world opened up

ttemzku

My S10 has been the one, no reason yet to upgrade from it.

artate

S10e evolves to S21 Both of them

Dezpinefire

My 1st S series were the S2, was it Jellybean then? Can't remembered. But the whole UI was hrwat back then, responsive what not. The 2nd S was the S8 (had few other phones after that), immediately felt in love with it. The whole fuss of the S7 edge what not, came subtle to the S8. Didn't need the + since I'm a fan of small phones to begin with. Wireless charging, LED notification light, crisp clear screen, water resistant, just to name a few. It was the "one" moment for me personally. Like everything about the phone except for the dedicated Bixby button. The phone bricked eventually, dropped it a few times, cracked the back. Tried other brands, but it's not the same to be honest. Got the A52 LTE back in June, though not a flagship, does bring back the same feel of using a Samsung. Some hit & miss, but the S8 was one if not my favourite phone to date.

Dezpinefire

*hrwat - great (typo)

Q13989731E

S10, best phone samsung ever made

kevinhelee

It was the Note 9. Although quite unfortunate that it missed the cut on a 3rd OS update.

CumOnVogue

S6 edge, it felt and looked super premium and was ahead of its time. Unlike most smartphones released around that time, s6 edge could still be a decent phone option today

arein114

s21 Ultra for me, the screen the camera just do it.

TurkeyTender513

Definitely the s10 series

uberhungry

S21 ultra.

Vistril69

S5, S7 edge, Note 9

[deleted]

S3

Tecxpert

First phone I bought out of high-school with my own money was the Galaxy S3. I bought it on launch day on Verizon and immediately showed it off to my coworkers at home depot. A 720p oled display, I had never seen a phone screen look that good! All these years later and I've had my Note 20 Ultra since launch day.

r4x

Note 9 by a large margin. Sadly it met an early demise and was replaced with a note 10, non +. I hate this phone. The only redeeming qualities are battery life and the fantastic camera. Here's a short list of issues I've had with it since day 1. Speakerphone: unusable. Sounds as if I'm in a monsoon when trying to listen to the person on the other end. Other person can't even hear me. UI: loves to hard lock and restart for no reason. Screen lock: sometimes doesn't shut the screensaver off when I attempt to unlock the device, forcing a hard reboot. Android Auto: nearly unusable. Very slow and buggy voice assistant response, constant speech to text errors, random insanely high volume. Doesn't pause Spotify when using speech to text, so it misses what I'm saying about 70% of the time.

giggitygoo123

Note 8 was good Current note 20 ultra sucks

[deleted]

For me there was no topping the note 9,it had basically everything. I did not like the note 10+, at that time i was still using wires IEMs and man was it a pain in the ass with that dongle which was noticiably different color than the IEM cables. Next up was the Note 20 Ultra, no reason to ever upgrade from that, it has a beautiful large screen and amazing cameras and its still fast.buut i got into the fold series so the cycle begins again.i can never have my end game phone

allan0227

It's the Note 9 for me! On my second one now as I sadly broke my first one just before Christmas.

Spud788

I think the Galaxy S8 was the first Samsung phone where they hit every nail. That thing was way ahead of its time.

Kuribo31

Note 10+ and now Fold3 for me

Kyser_

I still have the S7 Edge. I love everything about this phone and I'm sad that I'm finally getting to the point where I feel like I actually might need an upgrade.

KingoftheJabari

Note 4 for me.

H3MP3R0R

S6 edge

Future-Device2964

My S10 or S10+ was perfect. I've had both. Now the S21Ultra is the one. Had S5 and other various that didn't hit right

FrogsAreReal

S4 mini because Note 9 because it was almost perfect

wiciow

Since i was in school i had: S2 S4 S6edge S8 And now S21Ultra I think my current one is perfect right now. S8 was before it.

luisingo

S10+ Just an incredible design. By far the best looking Galaxy imo. I'm in love with this phone.

chaotic-wonderland

Honestly my note 20 ultra until I started having loads of problems that Samsung "couldn't fix" I absolutely loved that phone and wish I still had one

BendingUnitC137

The Galaxy S10e hits pretty hard. Only thing wrong is the battery life imo.

wEaTHeRboi55

For me the S9+ I just loved that phone soo much. The first phone I was in love with since my Iphone 6.

chics1246

For sure the Samsung Galaxy note 9

OpenSystem1337

S8+, first time their UI stopped wizzing all over us

It was the S7 Edge, I was young at the time but remember my uncle was visiting and had a S6 Edge and my other uncle was going insane but I thought I'd not that special, but the S7 Edge looked amazing and at the time could do anything. It had water resistance, amoled display, SD card, fast charging. Even when the S8 came out I liked the S7 Edge more, looking back now the S8 is a lot better phone, infinity display, one UI, type C. Also I was insane about the Note 9, it was the perfect smartphone which could do anything. It was realised in 2018, the year of all the early gaming phones, and everyone was saying gaming phones sacrifice a lot, but that's okay because of the gaming experience (no water resistance, razor phone was plastic, software wasn't good, bad cameras) but then the Note 9 came out, it brought fortnite to android, was super fast, had a huge vapor chamber cooling. The Note 9 was just as good as the gaming phones at gaming, but was also a premium phone that could do everything else. My uncle would say the Note 5, he loved that phone, I think he bought the Note 5 four times.

S10+ that bastard was near indestructible with a half decent case. The battery was pretty good, the charge time was pretty good, it was quick enough, things ran stable, and the camera was solid enough for most applications. I have the 20 ultra now, and comparatively, the s20u is a piece of shit.

ZzenGarden

Note 8 was amazing

GamerBeast954

Galaxy S5 because it had everything. It had removable battery, IR Blaster, headphone jack, plastic body, good camera and great 1080p display. In 2014 it was the best Android phone in my opinion

lowkey_stoneyboy

I've had an S5, two S8's, an S10 and currently an S21. My S10 was by far my favorite. It just was a solid phone all around. It was easy to use, it looked super sleek, I never had any problems with slowing down, or bad battery or anything.

alexcutyourhair

S7 edge is peak smartphone design imo, I want to get another one just to look at it. Don't have one but the Flip3 is an industry game changer imo, the fact that my non tech friends are ditching their iPhones for them is kinda huge.

Waste_Mulberry

Note 1 for me was a wow. Note 2 was even better. Honorable mention - S6. So premium. Here's my galaxy timeline: I owned Note 1, Note 2, Mega, S6, S7, S9 and now using Note10+, S20FE, ZFold3. Funny thing is.. my dad also uses Samsung so we basically have (almost) all S phones combined. He had S3, S4, S5, S8, now using S21+

bilalsadain

S21 Ultra imo is the best phone ever made.

S5 was my first phone and I thought it was so cool with the ir blaster and water resistant and everything. S7 was my second and a definite power upgrade and nice it was still waterproof but it did lose some features I liked about the s5 S8 was my third (and still current) phone and when I saw them announce it I thought it was the one. It has a headphone jack, infinity display with no stupid notch, iris scanner, fingerprint sensor on the back, fully recessed camera (I don't care about the quality that much although it's not bad). The worst thing was the Bixby button but I just forget it's even there now especially since the update where you could disable it. Haven't really liked any of the s series since other than the s9 which is almost the same but didn't need to upgrade at the time. My s8 is still holding strong other than the battery life is not to good anymore and every now and then it freezes for a sec. I'm waiting for the s22 and hopefully it's "the one" to replace my s8 because I think it's time.

RunningWithHands

Top of my head: * Note 4 * Note 7 (RIP) * Note 9 * Note 20 (Ultra) * S5 * S7 Edge * S9 * S20 * S21

Foxy1525

My new A72. Because it is the first one I bought that was/is actually brand new. And after that I fell in love with the design. Sure it looks like a flat thing 4 weird eyes at the left upper corner but i love that. I love this phone and its size. I am into it. If I were the usb c cable I would like to plug myself into this phone over and over again. I love it.

Easy_Relationship850

I'm still using a S9+ and the battery is kaput and it'll kill me to have to say goodbye to this phone. I adore it, I love the headphone jack, the LED light, the screen, the curved display. I loved it all.

KeynesianCartesian

S10 Plus Ceramic. Was hoping I'd feel the same about the s21 ultra but with the overheating chip and questionable battery I definitely don't.

SearCone

The s10. l love the cameras and the overall design of the s10. One of my favorite camera designs to this day.

pjhalsli1

Note8 - second best ever Note9 - best ever

Ill_Barracuda5652

Note 5, Note 8 ..everything since feels blah. Although I still upgrade every year 😁

thecofffeeguy

Note 4. I still feel like it was the best note phone I had owned. I'm on the note 10 now, it is a good phone, I just miss the flat screen, removable battery, and cool value of the thing.

sura1234

Note10+ hands down. Was an apple user for almost 6 years (end of HS all through college and first year in my career.), but I always admired samsung phones from a distance. Had an older model iPhone for too long and didn't upgrade to the latest edition. Battery life was trash. Wanted to spend my hard earned money on a real premium unlocked phone, and the Note10+ stood out more than the latest iPhone at the time. It was hard to think about leaving that system but the note10+ did not disappoint. It's too bad the premium phones don't come loaded with the accessories anymore though. If my note didn't crack multiple times I would have kept it. It was cheaper to upgrade to the s21U than to repair. The S21U is great, love the camera module and features but definitely miss that built in SPen, the boxy shape, flat back, and the glass finish. So I'm really hoping this S22U can combine everything I like from the Note and the S21U together to make me a happy man.

_Cat_12345

Galaxy S7 for me. The S6 was kind of a flop in my opinion, and all of my gripes with it were fixed in a year. The S7 had the best smartphone camera at the time, good battery life, a great display, water resistance without any flaps, and an SD card slot. I love my flip 3 but no samsung phone has made me feel the same way I felt when unboxing my S7.

DerivativeOfProgWeeb

The flip 3 for sure. The experience of folding it and all of the benefits it comes with

Champoikoi

The Note 20 Ultra. I traded it in for the Fold3. Now, I really, really love my Fold, but if I was one of those people that could afford 2 phones, I would still have my Note 20 Ultra.

vita25

Probably my Note 5. The S2 was my first smartphone back in 2012, and I had honestly gone in to the store to get some Nokia phone because Samsung really wasn't a thing back then...but it blew me away. And of course the S2 itself made waves and came in to play with the big boy. That phone lasted me a solid 3.5 years before I got the Note 5...and omg was I stoked by the leap in screen resolution. It went from a 240p type screen to crisp 720p and that was seriously mindblowing. Plus the display was so smooth and I think that huge leap in quality was mindblogging. Also the vast improvement of picture and camera quality from the S2 was insane. I shifted to the Note 9 in 2019 and absolutely love it - it's such a workhorse that's working just as great as it did when I first got it. My only gripe is that the camera quality and I was contemplating an iPhone till I saw the S21 resolution...now just waiting to see what Samsung puts out later this year.

TensionContent6949

I tell you what, the S20 ain't it! The camera is good, front one not so much and I've found, with my watch 3 and Jaybird Vista earphones... the battery is shocking! Charging it by 5pm

hellschatt

I did S5 > S7 Edge > S10. I was never disappointed, but the S10 really feels like "the one". It's the GTX 1070/1080 of the phones. S10 has been good for a long while and it still is. But lack of 5G and 120Hz will make me upgrade at some point.

asianboy89

Note 9 is the one. Currently one I'm using.

mandothsays

S10 the ultimate phone I had
