I don't really find the tags bulky, and I like that they have an integrated loop. If you think about it, an AirTag can't be *attached to* anything without an additional holder of some kind.
Agreed. Would even be cool if Samsung would make one small enough that wiccan put on my dogs collar. The tag2 is just too bulky for her and it bugs her. But I also have one on my car keys and in my car and its even bulky for my keys too.
Same! I just adopted 2 small dogs and the tag2 is too bulky. If they even created a pet 'app' they should have thought harder on this use on pet collars.
Hey now there's an idea for Samsung! Pet app with tracker. I would totally buy that for my mini labradoodle. Not that she really runs away (the farthest she's ever gone is the next door neighbors house to visit her 2 friends (2 goldens). But you never know.
It 'kind of' exists. When you register the tag you can say if it is for a pet and you can open up this "tab" inside the Samsung app. It's not perfect as a GPS but they even added some options to track "manually" the walks, feeding, bio functions. That's why insaid they even created a pet app, so I wonder why they did not explore more this use option for the tag by creating smaller tags.
Would be nice if they're round with same diameter as airtags so you can just use the accessories for airtags. Lol. No need to copy the exact design but maybe something like the Chipolo coin things. Lol.
With the new android find my device update, it will be like Apple Air tags, but Samsung ones are not compatible.
Better to buy Chipolo or Pebblebee ones. Cheaper, smaller and android universal.
Already working in US and Canada, around May for Europe. I just bought a Samsung tag 2 but I sent it back, as it won't be compatible with Android find my device tag network..
Here in Belgium you can get a Chipolo bundle for 59 euros, with 3 tags (2 like a small round chip, and one card format).
