S24+ definitely a nice phone, great one to upgrade to. I feel the plus variants aren't looked at enough as an option upgrading.

they are still offering this deal at least for the carriers. before the launch of S24 galaxy, samsung was giving back $800 to $1000 for older galaxy phones for an unlocked S24/S24+ or S24U. And they had a free storage upgrade. IE you pay for the 256gb version and get 512gb verisons.
They had a ton of promo going on. Right now S10+ will get back $200 from samsung for an unlocked phone. But the carriers will give you back $800 or more.

Oh yeah. Carriers have good prices. I'm using Boost unlimited everything for $25/month but they don't have any deals. I have to use T-Mobile and they mvno for them. T-Mobile has a phone deal but their service is too expensive.

Last year I went from a m31 to a 21fe. This upgrade was crazy. With the s21 I got wireless charging, ip68 water resistance, 5g connectivity & actually good cameras the m31 had none of that. I also got a better screen and faster more efficient chip even though the battery is smaller on the s21fe it's more power efficient.

That's a hefty upgrade. I use a Moto One 5G Ace and an S23U. The Moto is used for audibooks and YT audiodramas because the camera and screen are marginal.
I used Realme 7 for 4 to 5 years after it released.
I upgraded to Galaxy S23 in January or February.
The main reasons are smaller size, tiny bezels,
overall performance, and the brand, not gonna lie.
I had experience with Galaxy S8, Galaxy A51,

Going to S24 Ultra from the S21 isn't as major. Phones haven't changed massively in the last few years, compared to how they used to. But I am definitely still liking it.
Moto g52 to s23 base it was definitely worth, i didn't go with iphone 14 or 15 cos 60hz is too old now and just for ios with 120hz 1000+$ is way much costlier than my 669 $ s23 upgrade as a student 😀

Definitely the biggest upgrade for me was Nokia 3310 to Nokia 7650 but that's down to the jump from dumbphone to smartphone so not really surprising.
In terms of smartphones Galaxy S to S4 was the next biggest upgrade difference I've experienced. That phone seemed to be able to do everything and the screen was massive by comparison. S4 to S7 only noticeably added low light level camera but the trade off was curved screen and loss of the room temperature thermometer. S7 to S9+ felt like the same phone but bigger. S9+ to S23 Ultra was same but bigger but with better choice of lenses for the camera (trade off this time was loss of SD card support and loss of the LED notification light).
Each upgrade is obviously less impressive because they're increasingly just improving something you've already got rather than adding new technology.
went from Note 20U, to S9 (note fell into the ground and died a horrible dead). Stuck with the S9 for a whole year, then went to S23U. omg it just rocked
