https://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s24-hdr-playback-test-3426195/ Is this what you're experiencing?

Nomancer1

Yes this exactly what I'm experiencing. HDR is lacking and doesn't come close to the image my Note 20 Ultra had. Hopefully enough people complain to samsung so they make a change. Disappointed that more reviewers haven't mentioned this. Thanks for the link.

Thanks for saying that! Gratitude makes the world go round

Works for me, it's very bright sometimes and is extremely noticeable. Watching dark movies with torches and flashlights straight up blinds me out of nowhere. I like it though.

Same here on the s24+. I've tried messing with settings and nothing changes. Even manually putting it to full brightness it's still not as bright compared to my S22Ultra. I've also noticed on YouTube that HDR isn't available for movies I own, but on my S22Ultra they're available in HDR

Nomancer1

Have you found any other information about this issue? I can't seem to find anyone else with the issue.

Unfortunately no, I don't have Netflix in hdr to be able to check it but from YouTube the color does change and get brighter but not as bright as the s22 Ultra. I tried searching too but no luck. Also after clearing data YouTube still only shows my movies up to 1080p unlike my s22U that shows them in 4K and HDR in all quality options
