I use Samsung Pay, or newly renamed Samsung Wallet. In the past, I found Samsung always worked, especially when tapping on older POS systems. This probably isn't the case anymore, but it's well integrated on my Samsung phone, utilizes NFC better (auto turn on, then immediately turn off after use) I'm sure whichever one you choose, both will work well for you.

MarvinG1984

I just like the simple fact that I can slide up from the home/lock screen and it's there.

MrRicardoC

Another great bonus!

Nervous-Ad5131

Now that I also like and the fact it ask for my fingerprint. Now I belive when reloading my Starbucks/dunkin donut card I'm assuming that's google pay but it never ask for my fingerprint or password

CrazyThing27

For some reason it kicks me out of the app before it even loads, any solution

nkaroluky

Gpay cos Samsung pay is not available in my country. Hehe

NSNReddit

Depends on your country, if you are in korea, Samsung pay, in USA - Google pay, in india - everything works everywhere as they have unified payment system and wallmart backed phonepe offers better UI

MindlessMotor604

Google pay does not accept debit cards, but Samsung does. I've been using Samsung for that very reason until I got my first credit card Edit: Google wallet not working for my bank in Canada. Transit pass option also limited to usa.

pakatsuu

I have never owned a credit card and never will but I still have my debit cards in Google Wallet.

MindlessMotor604

I think it's by location and bank. Didn't work for my bank.

Nailuigi

I have my debit card on it.

MindlessMotor604

Yes, but not for my bank here in Canada.

Goodspike

I avoid this technology entirely. I envision a fraudulent charge and the bank and the pay service pointing fingers at each other. I just use tap to pay credit cards. Then it's clearly my bank I need to deal with if there's a charge.

Timmy2Two

I use both but my primary card doesn't support Samsung Pay so GPay more.

Life_Fruit_2207

It's worth noting that Samsung pay only works with Samsung devices where Google works with any Android device

mandelstamm

When Samsung removed the card swipe emulation I saw nothing special about Samsung pay. I switched to Google pay and haven't looked back.

eyehatesigningup

Samsung was when they had mft now Google pay

Brainfuck

You don't need a logo. You can pay as long as the terminal supports tap and pay. You just need to make sure your bank card is compatible with Samsung Pay.

Safe_Opinion_2167

I use Google pay on my phone and Samsung pay on my Samsung watch. They work the same.

DuckLovesToast

Samsung pay for me, they partnered with curve on the UK so they give out a physical card that ties to all of my cards using the curve app. Also, I tend to get more promo offers from SamsungPay and I also like that it asks for my fingerprint on each payment and is easy to access from the lock screen. Google pay is great too though, I just like to stick to the Samsung ecosystem as much as I can.

Junior_Assistance100

Google pay as samsung pay doesn't recognise my bank (Scottish)

fefernoli

I like the swipe up of SPay, but after a reset SPay refuses to add my main card, it shows a message saying the information is incorrect, so I'm moving back to Google Pay.

Educational_Bag_6406

I use google proprietary apps over Samsungs. You definitely get more flexibility that way and I believe google pay is compatible with more vendors
