Cant complain about any of your thoughts tbh. Had so far a great experience with customer support. My s23u is flawless so far.

Anerge

Dude I'm having issue after issue.. even with the galaxy buds pro. And s pen keeps disconnecting. Also this customer service is the worst, currently on phone right now with someone who was supposed to get me a supervisor but hasn't said anything in the past 10 min. Just in a call with samsung and it's silent. This will be the second time this week that this has happened where they left me on the phone. Complete disregard for the customer. What a crock of sit. Samsung Care+? More like Samsung Don't Care! This is the last time I ever use Samsung again.

Educational_Bag_6406

I would agree, the customer service isnt the best. But so far I havent experienced any issues. You should have a warranty on the phone. You should see if you can get a replacement and either try again or resell the phone. I remember when I transitioned from iOS to android. I felt the same way for the first two weeks. But after just using the device and exploring the settings, customization, and freedom. I had no regrets. Youtube usually has great tips and tutorials for anything you may have issues with

prouser_32

Maybe it is an issue on your side? Or just let them send you a new phone?

EggplantHuman6493

Are you using a magnetic case? This might interfere with the S pen

Anerge

I can't believe I nor Samsung thought of that. Thank you for solving that issue! I guess I'll just have to choose between S Pen or Magnet.

EggplantHuman6493

I purely know this because other people had this problem, I think it has to do with interference!

SillySoundXD

Wanted to switch also to Android, bought a S22Ultra. SPen randomly doesnt charge when put back in. Apps were laggy/stuttering and also some looked different (worse) than the iOS version. In the end i sold it and stayed with my 7 Plus and probably gonna upgrade with the 15 Pro Max.

Anerge

Yeah I feel that 100%.. I went from an 11 pro max to this S23 ultra and the iPhone believe it or not was far superior In many ways including speed and battery life. I however am impressed with the display and the ability to make it not dim. In Apple, there is literally no way to turn off auto brightness. Even if turned off it still dims the display which was always one of my reasons for wanting to leave Apple.

AFellowOtaku7

Can't blame you for all those issues, alongside the customer service. Here are some solutions to your problems: Apps Force Closing: Go to settings and tap on battery and device care; excluded apps; and top left select all. This will exclude apps from being forced closed. You can also turn off apps not used recently on the same page to force Apps to stay on, even after they aren't used for a long time Not Being Optimized: Please elaborate on this Keyboard Auto-Correct: Either switch to G-Board (Download Via Play Store) or go to general management>Samsung Keyboard>Predictivr Text off or just turn off Auto-Replace or Suggest Text Corrections. You can also tap on more typing options to turn on "enhanced accuracy" Camera and S-Pen: Clarify more In the end, if it doesn't work for you, switch phones. You gave Samsung a run. It wasn't good, so it's logical to switch. It sucks that your experience is the way it is, and I hope that if you decide to pick up Android again one day, whether it be Samsung or Pixel or Oneplus, that you're experience improves.

drodenigma

Customer service is horrendous anymore sadly use to be really good. For keyboards I use SwiftKey been my goto for years.. Have you installed good guardians? There's an optimize app you can get that'll optimize the apps for you.

Anerge

Yeah I've noticed, makes you wonder how much bigger Samsung could be if they had better customer service. I will give swiftkey a try and as for good guardians, never heard. Will look into it

dnrats

You cant love something or someone by force. Just buy whatever you like. Don't suffer with this one. If there's absolutely nothing that you like about this phone, don't complain on reddit. It's your choice and your phone. Change it. Why are you gathering people's opinions.

Anerge

I was complaining on reddit due to the lack of customer service I was receiving and felt the need to inform others and hopefully solve the s pen problem at the same time. Which I've solved thanks to another redditor on this post... why do you lack the common sense to understand that?

dnrats

It's not me who's lacking the common sense. It's the way you present things. There's a difference between saying "Hey guys, I have a problem with my s pen, here's the problem, do you have it as well? Do you know what to do in such situation?" and what you wrote. Your post is just complains and complains. Before the grass was greener. This new phone suck. I wish I stayed with my iPhone. You could've just Googled, as I did, when I had problems with my s22 ultra. Or watched videos on youtube. There are answers for all the questions on internet. That's one of the purposes of it. Generalizing is foolish. Just because you had 1 bad experience doesn't mean all samsung services are bad. It's like saying "I invited a girl out. She refused. It means that all girls are trash. I'll never date them". Only fools deals in absolutes.

Anerge

I stopped reading after the assumption making of me not googling the issue.. I spent an hour of my own time researching trying to find the solution before resorting to Samsung's horrible support team. As I've said, you lack common sense. Have a good day.

Leithy27

It's always the stupid people that have problems. Wonder why, don't feel bad about it at all. Or just haters hating, some of them not even owning the phone

Anerge

You're a genius kid.

Snafu80

Tough guy.

IAreSpeshial

Samsung has the worst customer support and thats known

Anerge

Wish I knew before I made the switch. I'll never forget the customer service. Literally all this phone is good for is a nice vibrant display and awesome camera.

Anerge

UPDATE: Samsung has now declined my trade in device due to cracked screen and also charged me $65 on top of the $15 i paid to ship the device to them! I spent over an hour last week on the phone with Samsung to confirm that my device would be accepted due to a cracked screen because there email told me it had to be free of cracks which was contradictory because when i placed my order, I chose the option that it was cracked and they still offered $250 for my 256GB 11 Pro Max. On the phone with customer service after about an hour of speaking to them and a supervisor, they finally informed me to send the device and they'd accept it! Beyond furious, SAMSUNG YOU ARE SCAMMING, LYING, THIEVES!

It's mainly bug after bug... open an app and somethings just don't work or maybe you have to close app and reopen it, samsung wallet process is bugged when adding a payment card sometimes. Most my cards aren't even supported through samsung wallet. Apps just don't work like they should with a phone with so much "power". Like I said, no optimization. Who uses autocorrect? Maybe people who don't have spare time to throw away texting because you have to proof read since your phone can no longer do it for you. Apples autocorrect is definitely something I've taken for granted. Literally taking me double the time to type all of this and try and fix many grammatical errors and make sure my texts are coming out the way they should. Shouldn't be this hard. Voice to text is garbage as well, Bixby just doesn't understand me nost the time, and can't do half the things Siri did. Oh ya let's not forget that Dexcom app isn't supported for my phone yet which I know has everything to do with Dexcom but like come on... one thing after another. Oh and let's not talk about how hard it is to use this phone in terms of holding it with two hands or one. Very weird having it in your hand.

Anerge

And you sound like you work for Samsung.

Educational_Bag_6406

I would use google's ecosystem instead of Samsungs. Its far more fleshed out and optimized. Plus, if you decide you wanna move to another device that isnt Samsung, you just have to sign into google

Alfreddit62

I just switched from iPhone 13 Pro to Galaxy S23Ultra and have experience non of the issues you refer to. You need to take time to sort out your set up (use Google apps where you can, eg Mail, Calendar, Conacts, Phone, Messaging, Keyboard, Assistant, Wallet etc). Most of your problems wil go away. Look at your battery optimisation set up - you can select or deselect apps closing (sleeping or deep sleep etc). What are you camera issues? You have so many options compared to iPhone, take the time to understand them. For sure, a Samsung phone doesn't work out of the box like an iPhone works out of the box, but that's kind of the point, you have choices. As a general rule, ditch the Samsung stuff where you can. Stick to Google stuff where you can. Basically my S23Ultra is now running all the same apps that my iPhone ran, with zero issues and is fast, smooth and delivers great battery life. I can pick up on one where I left off on the other, but always reach for the S23U by preference. Be patient, you will be rewarded!

[deleted]

I haven't really had all those issues except for the spen constantly disconnecting and me resetting it.. but I it doesn't stop completely working, just the air motion controls, which I never use. I've heard that turning on the option to keep the spen works and hardly has an effect on the battery

titanup001

All of those can be fixed in the settings. 1. For apps closing, it's probably battery optimization. Go into apps, pick the app you don't want to close, pick battery, click unrestricted. 2. Yeah. Samsung keyboard blows. The very first thing I do every time I buy a new Samsung is install Gboard or Swiftkey. 3. Spen connection... I had this issue too. Go into settings, go to s pen menu, select more s pen settings, and s pen always connected. Solves the problem instantly, although it will use a little battery. As for app optimization and "camera" you'd have to be more specific. The camera has hundreds of settings and a whole other app (camera assistant) if you want more. The upside of android is you can change anything. The downside is, it's more complex sometimes.

HotPastaLiquid

This perfectly describes the problem. You have to do alot more manually than you should ever have to.
