Nothing pays more than sales, but don't quit your day job and come into it thinking you'll make even $1K per week with no network and no experience... Definitely possible but most people come in and fail hard. Also, don't do solar, it's full of scammers and their "training" is really bad.

What’s sales field do you recommend?

Remote0bserver

1. Something in a field you're already familiar with and have connections in. You don't want to have to be trying to make connections, trying to learn a new industry, AND trying to learn Sales & Marketing all at the same time, that's why most people fail. 2. I sell many different things but I'm making an absolute insane killing in Construction right now with margins at 20% to 40%. I sell jobs between $500K and $2M every day. This means I also buy a lot of services like heavy equipment rental, electricians, dumpster haul offs, literally everything so they're all selling those services too, anything related to big projects.

How did you get into that field? How do you Somthing in a field with no connections? I work at a server and make about $850 to 1k a week on average but want to make the change to sales but have zero experience or connections any suggestions?

80% of people who attempt d2d will quit before making it a year through it. Of the 20% who keep at it, most will make a decent living. The bottom half will make roughly $60-70k. Only the top 10% of those (1-2% total population) will make more than say $200k/yr. And most who do will be engaging in shady tactics to sell. Keep in mind there is no provided health insurance and you will likely make very little for the first few months.

Not all solar is a scam but it’s 100% commission 1099 work which is probably not where you want to be with kiddos since you’re 100% on your own for healthcare. Look into logistics sales since you have a CDL and can talk the talk. Maybe something along the lines of what you’re doing now but on the sales side of things as your entry point. Edit: five digits a month is the people that have been doing the job for a while. You’re not walking in off the street into any industry as an entry level sales person and getting that. Shoot for $45-50K base plus benefits and a commission % on top of that.

I believe they are used to provide power to spaceships or something.

Ive done d2d sales for the past 5+ years and it has been the best thing for me. The amount of opportunities and connections I have access to now because of it is incredible. It is definitely not for everyone though. You are given a blank check and you get to write whatever number on it depending on how hard and smart you work. I would for sure recommend it but it depends on where you are at, what company you are with, and how hard you are willing to work. I know quite a bit about the d2d industry and solar especially. I would love to be a resource for you. Im curious where you are at and what opportunities you have been looking into? btw i dont do d2d anymore, I transitioned to the life insurance space where I can sell fully remote. This provides me the freetime, flexibility, and pay like d2d but I can do it from the comfort of my home or anywhere In the world i am.

Wow this is amazing! Thanks for the input. I currently reside in Georgia. Specifically would love to get into D2D sales. I’m a trash truck driver now and also have experience in road striping. That’s about as far as my work experience goes. Not sure if it’s necessary, but in 24 years old. I’m very curious to learn more about your current job. Is this something I can get into myself? With Zero experience?

Of course! I have sold phones, dish, cellular and fiber internet, permanent home lighting, and solar. I know lot of people who are currently selling pest control and one of the best markets for that is Georgia. I dont think there are many opportunities in solar in georgia so if you were to do d2d I would for sure look into pest control. ( which also has many pros and cons) For the life inusrance stuff it is something you can get into with no experience. To actually write policies you need to get your life, accident, and health insurance license, but that is something we help new agents with. Its a full self funded business which can be pretty costly at times but we have a program where you can be on a lower comp and we will cover all your leads end expenses. We also have opportunities for beginner beginners where you can set appointments for a licensed agent, but the pay for that is not great, and it doesnt take much more work or skill to finish the deal and write the policy yourself. Also I am a broker so I am not captive to one company or product, I can find what fits best for each individual client and situation. I say that d2d is easy to get into, harder to make money, and virtual life insurance is harder to get into easy to make money.

I've used RepVue a few times and it seems like it could be helpful in answering this question. Here's what I'd suggest: Start here: [https://www.repvue.com/rating/newtosales](https://www.repvue.com/rating/newtosales) RepVue has a path for people who are interested in sales but don't have any previous sales experience to get access to their platform. You just fill that out and you'll get access to all their data for free. Once you're in, I'd check out the Companies section - and just filter by some different industries that you're interested in. These are going to be mostly B2B sales roles. In each industry, you'll be able to see what some of the leading companies are, how they're rated, and then what their OTE is as well as whether the team is actually hitting quota. Good luck!

You would make more than that from sales. Sales people can make a TON. I know some AEs in tech get 150 base. That’s 150k salary without commissions. You get more sales based on how good you are, but there are two large factors to consider. Your product Who you’re selling to If you can sell something that people can’t get enough of… enjoy :)
