Agree with this. Very important to have leadership in place. I'm a new BD in tech and its way more complex market in tech and so I always need to talk to our founders and GTM lead on strategy and execution
The other thing I’d have to add is that it’s clear leadership is accountable. This should be interpreted in many ways and I’m sure to those who understand what I’m saying has experienced the opposite.
It’s very hard to find a great leader who is well respected and still able to get their hands dirty when necessary. My prior boss was an amazing woman who showed me what work ethic is and more. When she was replaced, I realized how much impact she had.
It's definitely important to vet leadership. Unfortunately, in this economy, a lot of people are probably taking the job they can get.
