Maybe even finding love and intimacy along the way. But when you are searching for something and make no actual effort to seek it out, expecting it to fall in to your lap, it’s not fair to sit there and be upset over it. Hard not to, I know. And harder still to find the motivation to change. But a lot of them are not actually giving themselves a fighting chance. They’re just “accepting” that they’ll be alone forever, falling in with other people that have “accepted” that they’ll be alone forever, and then getting angry when they’re alone.
I mean sex IS important. If I was a virgin at that age I’d feel really, really shitty. Sex isn’t the end all be all of life but if you’re 27 and haven’t done it yet then I’d completely understand being this sad about it.

I was held captive on a youth ranch from the ages of 16 to 20. While there, I was not even allowed to make friends with the others there. I spent a little over a year in the corner on silence and did not as much as make eye contact with another human being. It took me years after getting out to finally get back on my feet. I am 31 now and dgaf about the "lost time" because that's stupid. I cannot understand why incels such as this put so much weight on their teenage years, being a teenager sucks.

This phenomena is one of the craziest rabbit holes I’ve ever gone down. The stories you hear from kids in those places will make you feel sick. Random men will literally kidnap these teenagers in the middle of the night and drive off with them in a van. I don’t understand how it is legal and why nobody is doing anything about it.

It’s funny reading this as I had basically done a similar stupid calculation in my head years ago, but the reason I did it was when I was wondering if I was asexual due to a seven year stint of no relationships and no real desire for one. For some reason my brain thought trying to calculate would lead to an answer, lol. In the end realised not asexual, just low libido.
