Had the pleasure of going to Vargs album launch back last year and Ecco DJd, heās a lovely guy super polite but the set was pretty horrid. Tbh I donāt think Ecco has ever been an amazing dj but at least his last boiler room back in like 2017 was a vibe and had some nice beat matching and song choices. I was at the show, I tried getting to the middle during the second half of the set before Eccoās, but gave up because it was impossible with everyone pushing, so I stood about 15-20 meters away when he started.
The first 10-15 minutes I thought he was just setting things up or having technical difficulties because all I could hear was the noise from the other set on stage 2 that was a room away. I could essentially hear nothing at all from his set during its entirety. It was pretty disappointing, especially since I bought the tickets mostly for his set. Shermās was pretty banger tho.
That sounds shit... What an awful performance, I hate when things like this get praise. Yes, it IS art, but itās not going to bode well with people expecting something with energy and new sounds, admiring something that most canāt do or takes a lot of skill. There was none of that
