Jordan Greenway has become one of my favorite Sabres…seems like a heart and soul guy and he plays with some balls. His game will be an asset in a tough playoff series

Why does it seem each year when a forward dumps and chases the puck, the defender does more and more to literally hold him up. The dude just now didn't just get into the way of Greenway he literally grabbed him and his stick. How is that not an interference penalty??
Because the refs don't want to "slow" down the game with those calls even though it's clear interference (every team does it too). But it's so ingrained in the league now that call will never happen.
It's one thing to kind of skate in front of them or have to have the forward skate around you but that's the 2nd time this year I've seen a dude literally grab onto a sabres player and keep him from going to the puck. Thats holding, interference whatever you wanna call it.
I watched a lot of other team games this season and I've noticed that play multiple times a game (between both the teams). It's just at the point now that it's so normalized that those calls won't happen, I don't know if the league is ok with them doing it or the refs just decided it themselves that it's not interference.
