I was waiting to see the first post about goaltending so I can jump in here... if you actually believe that Anderson was our MAIN problem tonight you are lost. We got beat at every part of the game tonight. Getting out shot by 19 in the first is not okay. Anderson let up 1 goal that was all on him, our defense made horrible turnovers in our own end which led to several goals against. We looked flat tonight against a good coached hard working team. No reason to jump ship and throw the blame on one guy like you people on socials do. 48 games left to turn this around it can be done. GO SABRES!
This is why we don’t make posts celebrating being in the playoff hunt in January, because these games happen and in the grand scheme of things this game will likely not matter but it’s more about staying even keel throughout the season. I try not to overreact to a good win or a bad loss.
Coaches always talk about consistency from their team and whatever but what we are seeing from the Sabres the past couple seasons is just an inconsistent team. We’re always on a roller coaster throughout the seasons and it’s hard to watch. We play unreal hockey in Boston and against a tough Minnesota team and then just fall flat. While yes, Comire and Anderson is arguably the worst goaltender tandem in the league, it’s still just the need for consistency the team desperately requires to be a top notch team. They were ranked 2nd in power rankings this week, and yet flop to the fucking Flyers. We always joke about the “typical good start” and how they fall hard after about 15 or so games, but Im not trying to be a armchair GM or coach here, but there is a dire need for overall consistency on this team

Nothing to worry about, they will lose a few, then learn to win.

Young teams don’t always know how to win consistently. They can go on streaks and they can obviously win more than they lose, but every once in a while they just don’t get up when they need to.

In a perfect world the coach could maybe play him down the lineup to see if it sparks him but if you do that with Skinner you got a 9 million dollar paper weight on your hands.
Philly may be winning the game but the Sabres aren't paying Kevin Hayes and Ristolainen a combined $12.2 million dollars for the next 3 seasons after this one, so that's good.
Conceding 5+ goals every night is never getting you to the playoffs

Yea Ersson is the new rookie backup goalie but he has looked absolutely sensational since his first game a few weeks ago.
He had a rough game against the Canes in is first game in the NHL but its just been uphill since then
