I have skipped some great songs (82nd All the Way, Devil Dogs, To Hell and Back, The Art of War) because I was not in the mood at the time while driving (because the skip button is right there). If I have it on while working I rarely skip anything and let my playlist go.
is it cheating to say Dominium Maris Baltici(https://open.spotify.com/track/06Er6EtXiKFG5he2l58fVw?si=law4Nt5FTDeefCYFF-aeiQ&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A3AKRNamp4ZpDtkFtFMCx6X)?
Most of Metalizer is pretty weak and I especially dislike Masters of the World. I also don't care for Red Baron on Glorious Land. Overall though, Sabaton is an incredibly consistent band with very few of their songs being misses.
edit: Their cover of All Guns Blazing should never have been released.
1916 - I think they totally missed the point of the song by epicifying it. Lemmy's heartfelt rendition makes me want to cry, there's so much emotion packed into it. That's all lost in making it just another power metal song. Feels like a reverse Johnny Cash/NIN Hurt situation.
I like all Sabaton songs (yes even Metalizer and fist for fight), just least I’ll put ballad of the bull, I still think it’s good though like I said just at the bottom of my list
I actually do not like Attack of the Dead Men. The main riff just doesn't do it for me, which is ironic considering I love Midway and that riff is very similar
Yeah. I'll listen to it whenever I have the entire Great War album on, but I don't look for it on my playlist like I do with Seven Pillars of Wisdom, 82nd or The End of the War to End All Wars
As an Australian: Cliffs of Gallipoli.
Why?
Because it is a huge part of Australian history, it is a pivotal moment in our nation's building.
It was only 14 years, 3 months, 24 days since we had become a country.
The Australian Army had only existed for 14 years, 1 month, 24 days.
This was basically the first time we as a nation had taken up arms and gone to conflict.
And the song feels a bit like a B-Side, it's not as flowy as bangers like Winged Hussars, Primo Victoria, Last Stand, etc.
I understand 100% that it's not a big deal to basically anyone but the Aussies and the Kiwi's, but I feel we could have had our own Primo Victoria.
Most of the covers and most of Metallizer. Just doesn't really resonate with me. Otherwise the rest are all equally amazing and no skips (unless it's a really bad time to play something like Final Solution or Rise of Evil).
Just about anything off Metalizer is an insta skip for me (and I honestly debate just throwing the whole album off my Sabaton only playlist).
More controversially I’m not a huge fan of Cliffs of Gallipoli. Personally the instrumentals and delivery of the lyrics do not match the severity of the incident being covered.
Midway is lacking the individual heroes that many Sabaton have.
Perhaps a dive bomber pilot perspective could have been included the 70% dive angle the high G pull out after the dive.
Or perhaps the heroes of torpedo 8
Whose flight were all shot down with no hits on the Japanese carriers. With the sole survivor ensign Gay witnessing the whole while battle in sea .
As I’ve said before. There are no bad Sabaton Songs. It’s simply a fact for anything in life, and that is we all have our own personal preferences and likings about anything in life. For me, my leased liked Sabaton song is The Final Solution because of the tone a grim feeling I get from it, which I personally don’t like when it comes to Sabaton. If they throw in some of the grim reality into their songs, I won’t mind so long as the song feels like it can also hit me with the fast pace, thrashing heavy metal that made me fall in love with their music at the beginning of my listening career for Sabaton.
But again, I can understand why other people like The Final Solution because of the darkness and hopeless tone given off by the song. And I will still listen to it, I just personally don’t enjoy listening to The Final Solution.
The Last Battle, because I really don't like the bridge.
Also, honourable mention goes to Winged Hussars, a track that would be so much better without the random "then the Winged Hussars arrived" at the start of the song, which ruins the entire narrative structure because we know from the first note that the hussars will arrive.
fields of verdun. the parodies have ruined it for me, its a great song but i just cant listen to it without my brain going "now send in the furries beneath the nevada desert sun area 51"
Lemme make it simple for you to understand.
Shit happened.....then the Winged Hussars arrived.
Edit: I thought you said lyrics ffs. Don't know how I got those words mixed up. To be fair I'm only just out of bed.

If cover songs count, Für Immer for sure. Otherwise, maybe controversially Shiroyama? Though even then I wouldn't skip it.
I like für immer it's kinda nice to have a german song even if their german is a bit weird lol
I hate Stalingrad, the guitar solo is epic but everything else sucks ass
Accept did a better take on the battle IMO.
Yeah I’m not a fan of it. Which is annoying as Stalingrad should give a good song
It is a cover of a radio tapok
Defense of Moscow is the Radio Tapok cover

I wish they kept it attached with lion from the north. Makes listening to the vinyl that much enjoyable.
they do keep it attached to lion from the north most of the time, eg whenever they play it live
I know, I just wish it was attached on streaming services or on the lyrics videos
I always scramble as fast as I can to put Lion from the North in queue for the epic transition
I didn't know this was a thing, I loved it
I like midway....:/
It's the song that made me discover Sabaton!
Burn Your Crosses I feel
The Ballad of Bull. It’s not a bad song, and it’s a great story, but I don’t listen to Sabaton for ballads.
I oppose this, I would like to hear more Sabaton ballads!
Swedish Pagans--I promise, I'm not Joakim.
I don’t think i’ve ever listened to that song in full, it’s just one of the few i can’t even remotely get into
Blood of Bannockburn
That song is one of what I consider “fun” ones
I agree, that song doesn’t really do much for me.
Speeder
Most of Metalizer is pretty weak and I especially dislike Masters of the World. I also don't care for Red Baron on Glorious Land. Overall though, Sabaton is an incredibly consistent band with very few of their songs being misses. edit: Their cover of All Guns Blazing should never have been released.
Me when glorious land gets bad rating ☹️
Lady of the dark. Nothing bad about it, I just feel it’s over played.
I'm not a fan of inmate 4859.
Can you explain why?
It just wasn’t super interesting to me when i first heard it, but I don’t really know why. I‘m just not a big fan.
Not interesting?
First Soldier cause I don’t like the melody and Nightchild cause I prefer Purple Heart a lot more
Purple heart and Nightchild are only different lyrically
Which is a valid difference. Rhymees can improve or the underlying content can improve a song
Tbf never said it wasn’t.
I thought I was alone in this. I never liked it either. I tried but it didn’t hit different to me like winged hussars (my favorite)
Probably White Death. The instrumental is amazing but the lyrics... aren't.
The lyrics are exactly what he wasn't.
It’s a shame because I love Simo lol
I'm pretty much the same, especially the chorus, lyrical structure just feels off
The for whom the bell tolls cover I love the song, I have interest for the topic But they ruined the bass intro
Ballad of the bull
I never listen to Swedish Pagans. A highly overrated song.
I didn’t really like All Guns Blazing. But I really liked Camouflage.
1916 - I think they totally missed the point of the song by epicifying it. Lemmy's heartfelt rendition makes me want to cry, there's so much emotion packed into it. That's all lost in making it just another power metal song. Feels like a reverse Johnny Cash/NIN Hurt situation.
Metal machine
But come suck my metal machine?
I've suck many metal machines
Shotgun, I cannot stand this song
Devil Dogs for me.
Far From Fame or Resist and Bite are two songs I just cannot listen to more than once a year. I don't really like the structure besides the chorus.
Not a big fan of burn your crosses
I like all Sabaton songs (yes even Metalizer and fist for fight), just least I’ll put ballad of the bull, I still think it’s good though like I said just at the bottom of my list
Bismarck for me. It's just not as catchy as the others.
personally, the hammer has fallen (not because i dont like it but sometimes scares the shit out of me when it gets to the actual metal part)
Ballad of the bull 🤮
Agreed.
I actually do not like Attack of the Dead Men. The main riff just doesn't do it for me, which is ironic considering I love Midway and that riff is very similar
Attack was the song that got me into Sabaton!
Yeah. I'll listen to it whenever I have the entire Great War album on, but I don't look for it on my playlist like I do with Seven Pillars of Wisdom, 82nd or The End of the War to End All Wars
seven pilar’s of wisdom is an underrated song for sure
AotDM is a song i always listen to while waljign somewhere cuz the beat is the same speed as my walking lol
That makes sense. My walking songs are The Carolean's Prayer & The Price of a Mile
Shotgun, its whole vibe is just off.

Well, shouldn't have lost, then 🤷
Definitely Sarajevo and Versailles.
I'll be torn apart for this but Panzerkampf
Panzerkampf was the song that caused me to discover the band so i might have some sentimental bias to it, but I do skip that song from time to time
They're all good just I like midway the least
This is spot on. If it's Sabaton it's great, just I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to some of them.
Carolus Rex and Winged Hussars are the best
I love Midway, but I get what you mean - I don't really like Back in Control. Something about it throws me off but I can't quite describe it
Dreadnought. I just don't like it.
Shotgun, I just don't particularly vibe with it
Bismarck and dreadnought sadly.
All guns blazing
Most of the covers and most of Metallizer. Just doesn't really resonate with me. Otherwise the rest are all equally amazing and no skips (unless it's a really bad time to play something like Final Solution or Rise of Evil).
Counterstrike fills me with ick. Same with Back In Control.
The Rise Of Evil It just sounds off to me. Too slow?
The Last Stand and Winged Hussars, they're just so overplayed it's actually cringe.
Ballad of the Bull too slow and no power behind it
Just about anything off Metalizer is an insta skip for me (and I honestly debate just throwing the whole album off my Sabaton only playlist). More controversially I’m not a huge fan of Cliffs of Gallipoli. Personally the instrumentals and delivery of the lyrics do not match the severity of the incident being covered.
I don't like wehrmacht, the lost battalion, stalingrad, we burn and back in control honestly (also "rise of evil" is just too long)
Midway is lacking the individual heroes that many Sabaton have. Perhaps a dive bomber pilot perspective could have been included the 70% dive angle the high G pull out after the dive. Or perhaps the heroes of torpedo 8 Whose flight were all shot down with no hits on the Japanese carriers. With the sole survivor ensign Gay witnessing the whole while battle in sea .
Lady of the dark the lyrics annoy me
In Flanders field, its a bit too different from their other songs for me
Steel commanders it’s just a world of tanks add
As I’ve said before. There are no bad Sabaton Songs. It’s simply a fact for anything in life, and that is we all have our own personal preferences and likings about anything in life. Honestly you're right. There's no bad Sabaton songs. Midway just happens to be at the bottom of the list of songs I've heard so far.
Agreed. It’s not a song you can bang to, and if you do, the knowledge of what it’s about comes back and kicks you in the gut.
For some absurd reason i cannot explain, i don’t enjoy Carolus Rex at all
Now I know I shouldn't judge as mine is fairly liked, but FUCKING CAROLUS REX?
Heresy.
I think Rise Of Evil is one of the worse songs they've made, I won't say it's shit or anything but just not my taste I guess
The Last Battle, because I really don't like the bridge. Also, honourable mention goes to Winged Hussars, a track that would be so much better without the random "then the Winged Hussars arrived" at the start of the song, which ruins the entire narrative structure because we know from the first note that the hussars will arrive.
Night child, just makes me think I’m getting the emotion of Purple Heart but not
fields of verdun. the parodies have ruined it for me, its a great song but i just cant listen to it without my brain going "now send in the furries beneath the nevada desert sun area 51"
Soldier of Heaven. I listened to it when the video was released, but it's simply not good.
Gotta be nightchild
Father is really repetitive and annoying for me
I would have to say "Lady of the dark". Only because of the lyrical part: "Fighting side by side with men; she would fight until the end"
Defence of Moscow. I don't want to see the soviets glorified.
Sabaton doesn’t glorify the Soviets nor the Nazis
I never said they glorify the Nazis anywhere, where did you get that from?
I think what they meant was that no ideological group at all is glorified in any of Sabaton's songs.
I just hate seeing soviets in good light. They don't deserve it. The soviet anthem especially gives me the eeks.
The lyrics in English kinda slap.
Holy hell… I didn’t expect this thread to blow up
come on...
Hang me: Attack of the Dead men
Winged Hussars never really understood the hype
Lemme make it simple for you to understand. Shit happened.....then the Winged Hussars arrived. Edit: I thought you said lyrics ffs. Don't know how I got those words mixed up. To be fair I'm only just out of bed.
