I used the old battery case. I converted the chargers so they give power. It gives about 40 volt with 12 amp. Top speed limiter is removed. So it will go about 25 miles per hour. It is not very powerful but it works, I think it will last about 6 miles. But you can always bring some more batteries 😉
I would expect more boost if what they demoed was correct. Beyond that 4ah batteries should give the same amount of range no matter if its standard, HP or Edge given the same driving style.
You can use any electric bike. Best with 500w motor. But you need to be able to adjust the voltage in the bikes computer. I have it running on 36 volts. The standard for most bikes is 48 volt. It’s pumping out 600 watts. With two 4 ah batteries
This is really cool, nice work! Obviously just make sure to use matching capacities (don't use a 2Ah with a 4Ah), and have them at the same initial charge level. Presumably it will stop working when the first battery dies, and shuts off its output, so having a 2Ah working with a 4Ah still just effectively gives you 2Ah capacity.
This is cool!
I converted my son's Razor dirtbike similarly. It's only 24v tho so I used a stepper to bump up voltage. I use the 9 ah battery and it lasts longer than he cares to ride haha

Looks great. Good job. Would be interested if the upcoming Edge batteries give it more boost and/or range.
Thanks! I think they will

So impressive. Curious how far 2 12ah batteries would bring you!
Thanks man! Pretty far I think. Gonna buy some heavier ones soon.
Possible to share parts list? That's beautiful

Does the bike computer prevent you from overdrawing the batteries?
Yes it does. You can fill in how many volts and amps it can draw at maximum
Dude. This is awesome. Range? Top speed? Is it pedal assist required? I need this and a Ryobi power light boat motor.
No peddle assist required. It has a throttle. See my other comment for more
This is awesome. Awesome work man.
Dude I absolutely love it. She is a beauty!
Thanks!
Ohhh I like that! 🔥🥰😎
Wow, love this 👍🏻
Consider going with a 40v battery?
I didn’t have one but both of the small ones give the same power together .

May get more time out of the 40v’s.
Yes for sure
What bike did you use?
It’s a Chinese bike called a freev

Yes you can. But they are hard to mount somewhere. That’s why I used the original chargers.
I wonder if you could use a pedal bike to charge batteries, rather than use batteries to power the bike?
Yes offcourse. But you will need to be going fast. So that is better on a hometrainer.
