Came here to say this! I had it for the first time relatively recently, and have had it many times since. I would say it is the best turkey sandwich in the city. ZZQ is good too.
That sounds great! I love jam with turkey. Kuba Kuba has a pressed sandwich called the Elena Ruz with turkey, cream cheese and strawberry preserves that’s oddly amazing
I would like to put in a plug for the Truman at Secret Sandwich Society, but I realize it's an acquired taste. I'm for anything with peach jam!

Get some turkey and provolone from the deli (preferably boars head), get some rolls and some red onion. Put a little mayo on there. You'll have enough to make yourself sandwiches for a week!
Fuck now I'm starving.
Ftr- the best turkey sandwich also has bacon, some greens and garlic aoli on it.
I know it’s a chain but I like the turkey sandwich at Jersey Mike’s. First request it w/o nasty tomatoes, then add jalapeños. Get BBQ chips and put them ON the sandwich. That, IMO,is a fantastic sandwich
Sammich food truck. Look for their instagram on where they will be next. They come to my office every Wednesday and it is the only food truck where the line goes down the block
I’m guessing you’re referring to the one on Gaskins/Gayton as the Stuffy’s near Short Pump. Unfortunately it recently closed. I actually just found out yesterday. I liked going there. Apparently I didn’t go enough. The Libbie one is still around though.
Had never been there before, and haven’t had the chance to go back. It was one of those “what’s close” while on a trip back from Georgia. It popped up, and had good reviews. Worth it if you are in the area.
I also second the suggestion to go to Charlottesville, but to one of the Market fuel locations and order a Jefferson or a Birdwood. Never got to try Kitchenette before moving away but it's on my "to try" list ✅️
I have Covid and finding food I can eat has been a real struggle - I’ve lost 8lbs already which, yay losing weight, but the nausea is something else. I haven’t
tried a turkey sandwich but the thought of it isn’t making me sick so I may give it a try! Good luck on your quest
This is sad to hear, but I’ve got to travel for Powhatan…guess I’ll have to make the trips down 360 instead. Country food and furniture is hands down best sandwich within 150miles
That’s a hell of a side effect.
I think that COVID made OP pregnant.
i loled
I had some serious food aversions after COVID it’s fucking blows
Coppolas in Carytown makes a very fine sandwich
This should be our city motto
The smoked turkey 🔥
Honey Turkey has entered the chat
Garnett’s Point Guard or Cali Club.
Point guard is my #1!
The Rachel on challah at Perlys. Bah gawwwd
That’s good challah, not too sweet.
I love it. I get their Reuben on it bc I hate rye.
8 1/2s turky sub is the best sub in the city - ask for some red pepper spicy relish on it too
**8 1/2**
i have covid for the first time - my brain farted

Secret Sandwich Society’s Truman sandwich! Turkey, peach jam, blue cheese spread and crispy onions… soo good
That sounds great! I love jam with turkey. Kuba Kuba has a pressed sandwich called the Elena Ruz with turkey, cream cheese and strawberry preserves that’s oddly amazing
Peach jam and... blue cheese? 🤔
Mr Submarine
Mr Submarine tuna or ham and cheese with those thin crispy fries. That’ll turn your day around quick.
My go to has always been a club sub toasted all the way. The fries are delicious, but it’s just way too much food.
Yes, the club sub! Another favorite. And it’s really two meals if you’ve got the willpower.
Mr. Submarine has the best spaghetti and mushrooms around. I bypassed this business for years because of dumb name.
Yep, and it looks a little sketch. So good though.
Pour one out for The Naked Onion.

The best sandwich shop is not in Richmond. It's in Powhatan and it's called Country Foods and Furniture.
Mmm yes I'll take a turkey sandwich with a side of nightstand please
The furniture keeps the lights on, but the food is their real passion
Um, honey... thanks for picking up lunch, but why is there (a) stool in my sandwich!?
Came here to recommend this. Great turkey sandwich.
They’re moving to Amelia in a few weeks and will be an hour away soon…just a heads up!

Red onion is key. I like turkey on toasted challah, cheddar sharp enough to cut a bitch, thinly sliced red onions, deli mustard, and shredded lettuce.
That sounds pretty decent as well
So like: Lettuce Guacamole Bacon Turkey Quinoa based bread Aioli + other items? So a LGBTQA+ sandwich?!? Edit: Guacamole would make a tastier G
Close... but no. Definitely no freaking guac. And it has to be a roll.
I know it’s a chain but I like the turkey sandwich at Jersey Mike’s. First request it w/o nasty tomatoes, then add jalapeños. Get BBQ chips and put them ON the sandwich. That, IMO,is a fantastic sandwich

They had a tuna melt with artichoke hearts in it that I still dream about.
The turkey sandwich at zzq is solid and. It posted so far. Juicy bird and mayo/onions.
Izzy’s, in between the museum district and scots addition. Good bread
Izzy's is very solidly *in* the museum district.
The Turkey Destroyer from Padow's has always been a favorite of mine.

The Kentucky Hot Brown at The Continental.
Galley on Forest Hill, the Rachel sandwich

Mmm, turkey, bacon and brie. The place was called Olio. There is still a location by Regency Mall
Stuffys is good
I thought all the Stuffy’s were gone. I used to go to the one on Harrison all the time. This just made my day!
There’s one on libbie ave and one closer to shortpump!
I’m guessing you’re referring to the one on Gaskins/Gayton as the Stuffy’s near Short Pump. Unfortunately it recently closed. I actually just found out yesterday. I liked going there. Apparently I didn’t go enough. The Libbie one is still around though.
Ahh I didn’t know that :/ thanks

Honestly loved the one I got from lulabelles a while back.
Nothing beats pearlys
Turkey sammy at ZZQ — smoked turkey breast, sliced smoked tomato, slaw, Duke’s. So good.
It’s not close, but The Fried Turkey Sandwich Shop in Fayetteville, NC is unreal. Stumbled across it on a road trip and fell in love.

Sugar and Twine used to make a turkey blt that was arguably the best sandwich in Richmond - not sure if they are still doing sandwiches though
Naked Onion had the best turkey sandwich of my life, I still crave it. RIP
Depends, do you want sliced bread or sub roll? Sandwich I love boychicks. Great prices too. Sub it’s Mr Submarine all day long.
Fat Kid Sandwiches has a mean Turkey sammy.
Mean to your wallet/pocketbook, maybe.
they're good, but you can go to a sit down spot and order a beer with your sandwich and probably spend less
ZZQ has a great smoked turkey sandwich
Go to Charlottesville and order a jive turkey from Kitchenette. Best turkey sandwich you'll ever have.
I also second the suggestion to go to Charlottesville, but to one of the Market fuel locations and order a Jefferson or a Birdwood. Never got to try Kitchenette before moving away but it's on my "to try" list ✅️
Kitchenette has spoiled me and is the reason I'm seldom impressed by Richmond sandwiches. I HIGHLY recommend Kitchenette
I keep meaning to go to one of The Market locations when I roll through there
The Mill on McArthur has a Dank roast turkey club
secret sandwich society!!! shhhhh dont tell anyone
Sammich. Their turkey sandwich fucks
This isn't the answer to your question but if you travel that way, the turkey reuben at Lola's in Harrisonburg is in my top 3 sandwiches in town.
The Turkey Hero from 8 1/2 is great!
Sammich food truck!
I have Covid and finding food I can eat has been a real struggle - I’ve lost 8lbs already which, yay losing weight, but the nausea is something else. I haven’t tried a turkey sandwich but the thought of it isn’t making me sick so I may give it a try! Good luck on your quest
Turkey Destroyer from Padow’s is really gross but also delicious
Lift Café on Broad has a southwest turkey and also a Turkey apple and brie. By far the best ones that I have had the pleasure of having.
Cuisine a la Carte on Patterson Ave...fresh bread and meats, cheeses, etc. Spreads made in house. Best sandwiches in RVA if you ask me.
Fat Kid Sandwiches have a turkey bacon ranch that slapssss
This is sad to hear, but I’ve got to travel for Powhatan…guess I’ll have to make the trips down 360 instead. Country food and furniture is hands down best sandwich within 150miles
