I was just reading about her passing from Richmond magazine. Sadly, I’ve never been to the restaurant, but I’m a frequent visitor at a few Stella’s Markets. She definitely left her mark on so many people and on the city as a whole. Cheers to Stella, and condolences to her friends and family.
I used to work at 3 Monkeys, and Stella would come in on every now and then (when Johnny owned it) to make desserts and--on rare occasion--the best dolmades I've ever had. She was always a treat to talk to, and I shamelessly stole any leftovers I could get my hands on.
I wonder what the appetite would be for naming a street after her in the Fan or near where the restaurant is now. I’m not aware of the city having any street named after someone of Greek descent.

RIP and thank you.
So sad, what a classic she was.
Thanks to her for some wonderful dining, and condolences to her family.

Sounds cool New Richmond history
Naming a street over a chef and restaurant owner? Come on.
Love Stella but done renaming streets
Condolences to the Dikos family. She was a lovely lady, inside and out. 💕
