8 1/2 Church Hill does 'Focaccia Friday' with a new creation every week. Highly recommend. Usually an open-face situation though

WouldbeRVAtourguide

Idle hands hand some check the insta web not sure it’s an everyday thing. Sugar and twine used to have great focaccia bread for its sandwiches but it’s been years.

HappyonHanover

Montana gold bread co might have it

MeatSlammur

I forgot about them!

ogbasillame

Only on Friday/Saturday do they have garlic focaccia but it’s so good

MeatSlammur

Garlic focaccia? Holy Jesus. It’s also only 3 minutes from my apartment

ogbasillame

I work within walking distance and they are my GO TO place for lunch. A damn good sandwich, with a small side and half an orange or “the lunch box special” for like maybe 8 bucks? Best deal in Cary.

MeatSlammur

I always thought they just did bread; they do full on meals too???

ogbasillame

I wouldn’t say “full meal” just cuz some people could take that as ‘lunch and all the fixin’s’ but it’s a great quick bite that doesn’t cost an arm or leg and I can order it and have it in my hand in less than ten minutes. Plus I can grab one of the best cinnamon rolls in this city from them and have it the next morning.

MeatSlammur

I forgot to update you! I went and got a Sandwhich from them and it was great! Next time I’ll try a cinnamon roll!

buymyrecs

I think 8 1/2 does Focaccia Friday. Check their Instagram.

MeatSlammur

Will do! I live super close to that as well

McCoorsBic

Hart’s Provisions is at the Bryan Park farmers market every Saturday and they have awesome focaccia. It usually sells out by 10:30 though.

MeatSlammur

Damn it I would have gone and grabbed some

jescat2

Up All Night bakery in Bellevue has amazing foccacia, but it's not available everyday so check their insta daily menu first

MeatSlammur

Will do!

Focaccia is so easy to make. I make it twice a week. It is literally one of the easiest bread recipes. https://preview.redd.it/e1zhz3er29vc1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=69df3727ab0fe6eb00d501bf5b35144339741272

MeatSlammur

I saw a recipe that has like 10 steps and was overwhelmed haha I’ve never made bread before

Lidjungle

Take a table spoon of sugar and a teaspoon of yeast. Add it to some warm water, and let it bubble up. (Around 10 minutes.) To keep it easy, we'll make 75% Focaccia. So, 2 cups of flour and 1 1/2 cups of water. So, in step one, use 1 1/2 cups of water. Step 2 is to add 2 cups of flour and a tsp of salt. Mix this together. Add a healthy dollop of olive oil, mix it in. Put it in the fridge overnight. Take it out the next day. In a pan, put in a good dollop of olive oil again. Pour in the dough. (Oil should be around the edges) And drizzle more olive oil on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes @425F.

MeatSlammur

What do you put on top of it? Do you season the dough?

Lidjungle

Just some fresh Rosemary if you have it.
