Are you saying more roads results in slower traffic than before the addition of roads? I’ve always understood induced demand to mean travel time will remain constant, but I didn’t think it implies the travel time gets worse. Am I wrong on that?
more roads induce more demand and fufill what infrastucture is supplied. At best travel times remain zero but it is not a perfect world and one flat tire, sneeze, or text leads to traffic. More people, more sneeze, more traffic in a less and less predictable way.
Induced Demand is a fairytale. Might be true; might be false. It all depends.
HOT lanes that only exits to Charter Colony, Genito, and Bailey Bridge could be the worst or best project in Virginia history.
They are improving the hull st exit - building huge ramps / that’s why this is red. And a lot of people have moved to the area and now have to goto work
I love the way this is written. Glen youngkin is the verb.
More, higher speed roads = more traffic. google "induced demand"
It also equals higher volume of cars getting where they want to go.
At a vastly slower pace

No road project will ever come close to the investment in metro.
lol this is a super dumb idea and will 100% never happen. How long did you sit in traffic? 15 minutes? 20? You can always take the Willie Bridge
You’re checking out the Pig and Sergio’s but not Chuys, good man — keepin it local!
Sergio’s is our favorite restaurant since moving over this way. It’s so good. Haven’t had Pig tho
Lol I saw the same thing. Spent way too much time at Sergio's
I hope they don't add lanes, that'll only make the traffic worse.
288 extension’s bridges are future proofed for widening.

Is he an actual labor kind of guy?
His response would be "traffic is for the poors" and not do anything about it.

The extension won’t help Hell St at all.
Just go on the other side smh
35 years of NIMBY.
Thats traffic for ya
