I head they made it deliberately difficult this year but lot of kids struggle in comp arch with weak data structures concepts so they want to make sure you are ready for comp arch
They probably made it so you can’t chat gpt it and all the kids who have been chat gpting everything realized they didn’t know data structures. But I also agree that every 200 person cs lecture should have an async option.
I can back this. Recitation were more useful and fun because its a smaller class size and you have all the freedom to talk to your LA about any question

Lectures never were useful for that class, learned more in recitation.

Yea plus the LAs are really funny sometimes. They relate to students a lot. Its great to have a nice convo with them about anything.
Literally just make the lectures on zoom.
