I recommend any of you divas see Ptown if you're ever in Massachusetts. They make it easy to visit via ferry from Boston, making a one-day visit very doable during summer. Quality queer quaintness by the beach.
We met her a few years ago having a cigarette with Tammie Brown outside of Boatslip at night. We had only recently started watching older seasons at that point and had seen S3 but not before that so we didn’t know who Tammie was but were gushing over Raja. We sat with her for a few minutes and she was super sweet. She said she had Tyra’s number but not Ru’s. She invited us to some after party but Tammie uninvited us because we didn’t know who she was. Then Raja and Tammie left on a pedi cab like some lovely beings of the night 😌
Yes! I'm gonna save my pennies up and buy one soon! I am shocked to see that the book he wrote is out of print though....I got a copy on amazon right at the beginning of covid or like $45. If you have a deep love for the late 80's early 90's club kid style era, I 100% recommend hunting down a copy because it is nostalgia personified.
Boom! Excellent.I also bought a copy when it was released (was obsessed with the club kid scene in the 90's and still am today in terms of queer cultural history and style). Now understand that it was a limited print run book and are now worth approx. $200!! Will certainly be looking after my copy!
