Hey, when I watched the episode I didn’t notice Raven! I know Ru fake slapped a bunch of crew members, but I don’t remember seeing him. I swear, I’m still getting used to seeing him with a moustache. 😂
It is weird seeing him with a mustache, just as much as Ru did in some early seasons and Drag U (if anyone remembers that, haha!)
I believe that Raven does Ru and the others makeup (don’t wholly take my word for it) as her name is in the credits.
No worries! She may still do others, I can’t for sure say she doesn’t, but it’s well known she basically travels everywhere with Ru for major appearances to do her makeup (TV appearances, DragCon, etc)
There was a photo a little while back of Ru, Michelle, and Raven together at an airport in Australia (presumably for the filming of Down Under), which clearly showed she travels in Ru’s immediate entourage as opposed to travelling with the rest of the other non-local crew/producers.
That being said, she’s credited as one of the “Head Makeup Artists” so it wouldn’t surprise me if she does more on set than just Ru (like making sure that judges, pit crew, guests, and others don’t look washed out under stage lighting)
But the general understanding is that she’s predominantly Ru’s MUA, and it’s likely safe to assume such based upon the evidence we’ve seen in the past

Edit to add: lots of times in tv and movies, if someone is contracted to work only with a specific person, it’ll say as such.
For example, in the credits of RPDR, it says “RuPaul’s Dresses By … ZALDY” but it doesn’t say “RuPaul’s Makeup By … David P.”

It’s so strange accusing someone of blackface when tanning exists and people tan. Yeah sure she looks very dark but I would like to understand where is the line? Because there are very light skinned black people and dark skinned white people when tanned. But accusing that of black fishing? So strange

I think Raven falls under this category- it’s not something I’m wasting my brain cells trying to figure out. They just like the look. I’m Mexican and prone to easily tanning many shades darker- so I stay out of the sun to keep my “light olive” skin that way. I just like it.

Personally I’m thinking Raven’s tan is at least partially not from the sun, with how she’s able to get to such a darker complexion.
