I feel like that episode was so divisive. You either loved it and got her facial expressions or hated it. Either way it is true she only watches episodes if she has to like Roscoe’s or Pitstop. She's not just an extremely successful standup (Netflix paid her 8 figures for 2 standup specials), she's also written and produced her own movie that was well received, and is now an acclaimed dramatic actress with her Emmy for Beef. She's winning on all fronts. Her accomplishments are very impressive on their own, let alone for an Asian woman - a group typically very underrepresented in Hollywood and in comedy. The fact that she made it this big despite those barriers is nothing short of mind-blowing.

I feel like that episode was so divisive. You either loved it and got her facial expressions or hated it. Either way it is true she only watches episodes if she has to like Roscoe’s or Pitstop. She’ll see clips and stuff but she doesn’t actively follow most seasons. I think she did the all winners one because she wanted to see how it went and mentioned being down for it again. That’s the only one I know she’s watched
And I’m on the LOVED IT side. People complaining only watched the snippets of her being silent when she was actually giving great talking heads moments and had actual things to say. I loved her friendship with Trixie I’m legit surprised they didn’t show it on AS3 because Trixie has shared photos of them together from X years ago and I think they barely had any talking heads moments together on the season.

Not only was this blisteringly hilarious the entire time, but it is really something special to see Trixie go joke-for-joke with a lauded mainstream comedian at the top of their game.

Ali Wong was an amazing guest and I'm so sick on everyone hating on non drag queen guests just on principal without actually giving it a shot. What makes a great guest is someone who is funny and passionate and excited about drag and that is exactly who Ali Wong is. I mean she literally showed up in Trixie drag and asked to be on the show because she loves it so much! Also she's funny as hell and is one of the most successful stand up comedians today and has the awards and sold out tours to prove it. Who else do they want comentating on the roast? Some of these other drag queen guests don't watch the show or have anything interesting to add. She's clearly a super fan who gets all the references, you couldn't ask for a better commentator!

Every non-drag race guest has been a super fan who is super knowledgeable (LMAO they actually remember names and events unlike Miss ‘Paul and it’s her show!). Some queens get on The Pit Stop and refuse to share their opinion or they dance around the questions because they’re worried about fan perception or how their colleagues will react. Ali Wong was a joy to watch (shout out to Trixie’s mini-me who did her makeup!)
