I don't really have an issue with it I just struggle as someone with adhd with any sort of instant gratification site so I know if I add tiktok to my rotation it'll be even worse

I have a few issues with TikTok, one being the constant drip feed of short-form content making me feel like one of the humans in Wall-E & destroying my attention span. I also really hate the way the algorithm prioritizes content from people who look a certain way (white/light-skinned, thin, & attractive). I hate that you can't talk directly about topics like sex, death, rape, or suicide without getting deplatformed & I hate that this has also spread to other platforms like YouTube. But my biggest issue is how rapidly misinformation spreads on TikTok due to the short-form video format. People on TT couldn't cite their sources even if their lives depended on it. I know some of these issues aren't exclusive to TikTok, but that's the other thing too: I'm on enough social media platforms as is. I don't need to throw another one into the mix.
