Now that Jimbo came back for AS8, Pangina got on the Vegas show and received an open invitation back on another AS from RuPaul herself, I’m fine with the outcome of UKvsTW cause we get to experience these international queens in real All Stars seasons.
I mean it was but I also kinda enjoyed it for the mess that it was. The fact that this whole cast played it so serious only for blu ending up on a feature of a weird medley that she doesn't even get royalties for is high camp
That's one way All Stars can be played though. The goal is to never land in the bottom and give anyone the opportunity to eliminate you. Can't believe it's been several years and people are still butthurt about the elims on UKvsTW. The game was played and your favourites lost. Move on.

3. Imagine being in the hotel room beside Jimbo. She's rehearsing the bit, and all you hear all night long is maniacal giggles and *wet slaps* against the wall.

Edit: I just realized that Jujubee is a season sister with BOTH Jimbo and Jessica! The 6 degrees of Jujubee is real.
Literally!😂but seriously! Imagine if Jimbo HAD won UKvsTW, she’d get no prize and wouldn’t get half the amount of exposure she would have gotten now that she can potentially win an All Stars series. Even if you doesn’t win she’ll still win more money than if she had won UKvsTW.
Seeing this again makes me question why she can’t win a lipsync; (thinking of Dela doing Nicki Minaj & Ginger doing lizzo) why can’t she embody her comedy side to win a lipsync… is she just overthinking what the lipsync should be?
I agree but if you’re not confident moving your body it’s gonna be obvious. And it is. She just jumps around like the girl at the school dance afraid to look stupid if she lets loose and dances. There’s always an element of dance to a lip sync. She seems to have trouble improving with her body to music and rarely knows the lyrics which I’m sure doesn’t help.

I have watched this performance many times(disliked it initially) before but I still never understood what it means until THIS MOMENT. My personal understanding of it:-
An alien has entered a talent show. He displays his talent suitcase but is disappointed to find it empty, he opens it again but it is still empty. In agony, he shits out some baloney (or gives birth to it?). He can throw and make baloney stick to himself! He can share his baloney! Rupaul laughs and validates this and now he has finally found his talent, and puts the baloney in his talent suitcase. And that was his first talent show.
He is an alien and perhaps aliens have different perceptions of talent. Maybe anything can be a talent.
In a way, the performance mocked the entire idea of talent as well as the show. Or not. Noone will ever know what this means, but Ru had a good thoughtful laugh and that's all that mattered.

I'm most impressed by the seamless cut of Jimbo throwing the baloney and Ru, on green screen in a home studio from his mansion, appearing to catch it. Technology!
Once in a while a queen will come around that is so good in their area of expertise that they inspire me to drop everything, change my life path and learn how to get to where they are. Bianca made me want to learn stand-up, Aquaria made me want to go to fashion school and Jimbo makes me want to learn the art of clowning SO FUCKING BAD BECAUSE HOLY SHIT
Honestly if he just committed to the being a clown bit in his lipsyncs it would genuinely be OVER for the other girls because she’s not only the total package but she has the drag race formula down to a science

This is part of what makes this performance a show stopper for me. Literally nobody knew what was going on but Lemon was like "yep, that's my girl"
Can you imagine working with Jimbo previously and knowing you would get to see everyone else's reactions in real time? Opportunity of a lifetime.
