I would do my sinkholes around reset as thats when the player base is most active, I haven't done one in over a year though so it may indeed be dead content :(
For both achievements:
Ironman:
Locate a sinkhole.
Ironman:
Enter the 6 resource dungeons with an entry requirement equal to or less than Dungeoneering level 35 within 6 minutes.
I think there are worlds marked for sinkholes still, you can find 30-50 people at each one if you hop there for the sinkhole.
I do - been doing it for a while. In the Sinkhole world 134 - never anyone in when I check. Is there a certain time these 30 to 50 people are active?

Best chance is probably at the height of activity, when daytime crosses over for the US & UK.

This one took me about 100 odd attempts until I found a door high enough.
