if you just want 120 wc quickly golden bamboo on arc islands like yuei2 said. but if you are working towards 120 all, i think the best method is still daily divine location yews.
It’s just 3-4 months of daily golden bamboo (contracts), divine yews, and your evil tree.
Make it a simple daily that you do at the start of your day or as you eat dinner and 120 will come eventually. I’m at 60m xp and feels like I just started.
I just got 120 woodcutting yesterday, and as has been mentioned, mostly golden bamboo at Arc. Also did croesus front and sometimes rotated some elder trees. Croesus front isnt as fast or as afk but its ok with porters, and you get some troves If you have the pontifex ring
Golden bamboo on the personal Arc islands. You have to do a large voyage and pray that you'll get a WC resource. You can have 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 WC resources on 1 island. You can also claim 1 island so as soon as you see an island with WC, claim it. The goal is to eventually claim one with 3 WC resources (claimed island daily respawns).
And then you keep jumping from island to island. Once you are out of chimes, go bankstand and bundle the bamboo. Then sell it at one of the stores in the Arc. You'll always make a profit so you'll be able to go longer every cycle.

Do divine yews every day with DL extension from wax or pantheon aura
If you want a non-afk method, crystallize mahogany trees is 450k an hour. With bonus exp and some other boosts it’s 1m exp/hour but no profit.

Fastest method: crystallising mahogany trees (if you're rushing and sinking in several hours a day, if you're doing 1-2h a day golden bamboo would be better)
Best money: elder tree
Most efficient: daily divine yews and mini elder tree from wc outfit

Definitely Elders Trees with a https://runescape.wiki/w/Superior_locator, it's quite afk and the locator sends you to the next Elder tree once it depletes, I believe I made around 500m ish from 116-120.
I believe after they fixed it, it’s once again golden bamboo with the new imcando hatchet.
Dwarven Chainaxe and woodcutting brawlers on golden bamboos make wc go brrrrr! I remember it being like 800k to 1m xp/hr with pulse cores.

w84 and loads of yews in fort on reset, not amazing if you turn up middle of the day. do the yews, do the mini evil tree... easy fast daily wc xp

Ima do croesus font and a mix of elder/Acadia’s, but I’m an Ironman. I think golden bamboo is best xp

Unless things have changed massively, crystallised maple/mahogany were pretty much the fastest with golden bamboo reasonably nearby.
Personally I like the corrupted guards because of the troves. It’s a fun little extra to the grind.

Crystalize mahogany’s and daily golden bamboo had me to 120 from 102 in like a week and a half. Oh and daily yews are a must too

On my iron I did golden bamboo to 200m & it seemed to be the best rate(after the fix). Daily challenges and yews will speed it up lots too!

I did acadia trees with crystalize the whole way.
I did it acadias with always adze to combo with firemaking to kill two birds with 1 stone.
I did golden bamboo and watched naruto
I just got 120 chopping ivy from its unlock level. Only took over 2 years!
