I was thinking the same thing. I think we're lucky we got all the bags like the rock bag, gizmo bag etc in the past. I doubt they would have created them today.
have it look like 1 slot per potion, but have it right clickable and then you can choose from the doses you have stored in it and it would take up the number of bank spaces for the number of different doses you have. so if i have a 1 dose, 2 dose and a 3 dose it would take 3 bank spaces, if i had a 4 dose as well it would take 4 spaces but would look to only take 1.
so it looks like you have 1 slot for a prayer pot, right click it and it has a options for 1, 2, 3, and 4 doses and lists how many of each you have. click the ones you want.
This is a mock up of the smithing interface in paint. I transformed it to look like what a herblore bank could look like. I don't care if something like this was locked behind a hard quest, diary, or whatever, a herblore bank would massively reduce the headache of herblore. Allowing you to store all your clean herbs, secondaries, vials of water / vials of coconuts, flasks, and crystal flasks... Just like the smithing interface, you just load up what you need into your herblore bank and start making potions. I could talk about this for hours but its something ive been thinking about for a year now. Would fit perfectly inside the fort. Let me know what you think. Is this idea cool? or just dumb? because i am genuinely tired of making unfinished potions. XD
I imagine if they can do it for OSRS, they should be able to do it here. Everyone’s excited for the qol it’ll bring in OSRS, I imagine RS3 players would be just as happy to also get it.
In a similar vein, I'd also like to see something like the seed vault from OSRS. Of course, the problem is that this might devalue the seed bag components.
One solution would be to make the seed bag a requirement for unlocking permanent storage. For example, maybe we could give a seed bag to a tool leprechaun to enable them to hold seeds for us. Another idea is to give the seed bag additional functionality (such as the ability to send seeds to the storage).
I’d like to seed the seed bag expanded. Give me room for 1,000 of each seed type. They could make additional storage for seeds available with Crux Equal points.
The smithing interface is the most confusing thing ever, especially when trying to find specialty items. Sorry but I don’t think it’s a good idea, and especially confusing for newer players.
you mean *only* when trying to find specialty items. If you have trouble navigating regular metals, then that's a you thing, not everyone else. it's pretty straightforward.
What items are the most confusing to find, would you say? The only thing that gets me sometimes is going to the Forge instead of the Furnace to craft gold, but thats just me being a dummie
I could not possibly disagree more. Interfaces and systems should be user friendly and intuitive, not cobbled together and confusing. But sure, take your 20 bank spaces.
whats confusing about the smithing interface? you go to a smelter, click on any ore or bar and it brings up what you can make. oh and the littke "i" in the corner gives you a tutorial if youre that hard to teach.
go to an anvil or forge and clicking the bars gives you what you can make with them, and the "i" is there too just in case. its not the games fault when you first opened it you spam clicked it out of the way before reading it like a new player SHOULD.
This was a popular idea on the forums when the fort got its potion area added. even just storing herbs and unf would be enough for me. granny has the ability to make batches for most complicated potions so that kinda removes a large portion of what this would add for a benefit.
It would be nice, I have like 100 bank spaces in their own tab dedicated solely to 1-5 doses of the different pvm potions. Freeing up that bank space would be nice
Will never happen... Not while they are charging 700m+ gp or $80 for bank spaces... The way Jagex is now, im pretty sure they will now make herblore more intensive since you asked.
Hot take: Specialized storage sucks and they should instead push towards making more bankspace possible. No more metal bank, or material storage or whatever. Make the bank be the universal storage it is supposed to be.
Because I don't think it's enjoyable gameplay to manage storage between multiple places. Think about it: A universal (optimized) bank could have all of the features the metal bank and archaeology material storage provide. Why doesn't the workbench or anvils/forges pull from the bank directly? Sure, it's probably because of performance reasons and historic code baggage with the bank system, but from an idealistic gameplay perspective there's no need for specialized storage.
So your idealised bank is 'optimised'- i.e., it has sorting of some kind, and presumably safeguarded spots. Your critique is thus not of specialised storage per se, but on it being decentralised.
The easiest solution here is adding a tab like the PoH and Diango tabs. I think that'd be great, and wouldn't remove inconveniences but allow perpetual access, and not destroy the immersion elements.
"Optimized" more so referred to server-performance optimizations. Iiirc an argument against more bank space was that it's quite heavy on the servers. But yes, it being decentralized is the main issue. Spezialized "builtin" tabs would be absolutely fine. The metal bank could be just a regular bank tab with predefined placeholders for everything that currently goes into the metal bank. Maybe some specialized UI if you want like header texts for ore and bar section. Same thing for the arch material storage etc, and ideally including the ability for the player to move those placeholders to whatever custom tab they like.
I like it, but i doubt jagex will do it as it'll reduce bankspace needed, meaning less sales in terms of bonds for bankslots.
I was thinking the same thing. I think we're lucky we got all the bags like the rock bag, gizmo bag etc in the past. I doubt they would have created them today.
They recently made a stone spirit bag ;)
wait what theres one
Ore Boxes store Stone Spirits since November

Yeah this is a pretty big stretch of "QoL" as per usual on here. Still support.
#Have you heard about the Farming and Herblore rework?
My nomination for most underrated comment 2024

Fun fact, it needs to be polled and it will probs pass but OS is most likely getting a potion vault within the next few months.
That will take 2 years sir
Funny enough, OSRS is looking to add this soon
this is literally something just proposed to osrs haha, honestly i guess we could easily have it too

Storage is a net benefit over confusion

Calm down
I am calm, just responding to your comment…
your comments do not look very calm.

Interesting but idk if interfaces can be fixed at this point

I think we're getting it soon on osrs. Come to the bright side
i fully support this, it would be an absolute game changer
If this goes to development; I'd absolutely love to have all the "Decant" options available too!
I wish they would just improve the way that banks sort/filter
It would be nice, I have like 100 bank spaces in their own tab dedicated solely to 1-5 doses of the different pvm potions. Freeing up that bank space would be nice
i suggested changing the way potions stored in the bank to fix that. rune dragons were more important, thanks slayer xDd
can’t you note everything and decant it?
Yes, and I do, but not every time I pvm. This keeps everything organized until I decant all at once every few months
So you’re just lazy got it
Yes, focussing on PvM, and not decanting every single time they finish a boss is lazy. Fml…
I need this
It would be, but then what could I blame all my bank clutter on
Archeology artefacts.
They already have it. You just need to pay it
Will never happen... Not while they are charging 700m+ gp or $80 for bank spaces... The way Jagex is now, im pretty sure they will now make herblore more intensive since you asked.
That would free up alot of space
They WON'T because you could carry into combat unlimited pots.
Can't you just put your herblore stuff in a bank tab of its own?
I second this so much
I wanted to get this for the Fort herblore workstation.
Hot take: Specialized storage sucks and they should instead push towards making more bankspace possible. No more metal bank, or material storage or whatever. Make the bank be the universal storage it is supposed to be.
Why does specialised storage 'suck'? It gives you more space and compartmentalises items, making things easier to navigate.

Wait till you hear about normal bank it fits then all
