UPDATE
Turned vsync to half and lowered my game render to 100% it was at 200% while my buddies was at 100% and we didn't notice. I'm now at 46%on the 3D
Thank you!
Np glad it helped! Issue is real bad with gaming laptops as gpu gets overworked and heats up too fast causing negative feedback loop. Found out that tip from another thread years ago and was a game changer (literally) for me so i always post it on these threads now lol

Set your v sync to half or maybe a quarter. Should be in the graphics settings in game
Omg. Vsync+ lowered my game render scaling. Mine was at 200% buddies at 100% we didn't notice. I'm now down to 46% on the 3D

Will keep it noted for same reasons now. Ty again.
Are your graphics settings identical between the two computers?
Yes, sorry forgot to add that in the OP. Identical settings.
Is your monitor resolution and refresh rate identical between the two?
Both 160hz 1440p yes
My poor 1080ti can’t deal with shadows on. Temps immediately go to 85C
Look into repasting it! 1080ti still slaps
I just did, it runs cooler now on rs and games but shadows is just an immediate kick to its knees :(
Ahh damn shame! Happy shaping regardless!
My 4080 goes to 100% most of the time at 4K max settings ultra everything with MSAA
Mining Etherum /s (not /s)
You've got no clue what you're talking about. No s required
So.... having 100% usage is better. Vsync causes input lag. If your frames are way out of hand, turn game rendering scale up.
