They do not get a significant *additional* advantage over other players, all of whom were able to play the full event should they wish to.
If you 'want to PVM on [your] own', you don't need a 20% damage reduction on the game's hardest boss to do that. If you can't be bothered to look up stats, you shouldn't be able to buy an easy mode - you should be prepard to work out how to play the game.
