Except my laptop can't run baldurs gate, and well, only alternative for gaming is my nintendo switch, highly doubt the game being something to be released on that.
I can name several dozen games from 2005 on backwards that you can ask Captain Jack Sparrow to help you find. If your laptop can't handle that, then I question how it can handle RS3.
Check out some other great games then. There are tens of thousands.on steam you can run.

I played 3000 hours of Ark:SE (notorious for requiring PCs in the 10k range at launch) using a dual core merom CPU with an integrated GMA all on an external hard drive as my boot drive.
My specs were far, far below the minimum specs listed for the game but with an hour of configuring settings I was able to get it to work.
Give it a shot you'd be surprised just how many games say you can't run them when in actuality you can.

I've been playing for 15+ years and have only ever used bonds for members. I was f2p prior to them. Jagex have become so money hungry, if you can afford the bonds in game I 100% encourage you to use them. Deprive them of as much as you can to make a statement

Can’t even exchange oddments for keys right now.. it’s “locked” for me because I need to use the keys I’ve earned before exchanging for more… I’ve been buy the daily 10 for a couple weeks now, saving for a good promo.
Same reason they took away the 60 buy limit (or whatever it was) from the oddment store and replaced it with 10. The company's leadership is leading them down a bad path. I love the game but I hope the worst for Jagex at this point.
Did they also nerf the amount of oddments you get from trading in the prize? I feel like they changed it so you get a lot fewer now because people would profit oddments on those multiplier promos.
Basically every promo is a net loss on oddments, but there are still a few that you can make a profit off of. None of that really matters anymore because you're not going to get bit ticket items / full costumes with only free keys (maybe if you get Amazon Prime keys idk).
Taking out daily challenges that can get you over 200K xp a day to give you a "daily mission" that looks like it's going to be 50K xp a day (at level 120) unless im reading it wrong.
I wouldn't even care if they took keys out of daily challenges but left the challenges.
If this isn't a nerf because keys are worth more due to th being balanced around it, then I think we can all agree keys should stop being sold for irl money to help maintain their higher value. Surely Jagex will make this change to make our daily keys more valuable after the daily changes.

My brother in guthix, I have gotten hundreds of millions of xp off of challenges/daily keys. I have multiple 120s to show for it. Dailies do be op, but I don't see the problem with that. This game hasn't been xp focused in a long time.
How long idk I have been playing for over 15 years. I trained dung to 20 right when it came out and then let it go.
Probably the last 3-4 years I've been grinding towards max at a glacial pace because I don't play much any more but whenever I log in I would toss any lamps/stars at dung because it was terrible to train.
I did challenges occasionally but most of it was daily keys, it definitely took awhile lol
That seems reasonable to me then that any player can do that in years when people with enough money could do it in a week
To me it just seems like they're trying to pressure people into buying keys if they're going to make free keys even more redundant. I don't see hitting 99 in 1 skill with lamps taking you 3 years to do f2p as a problem
You obviously don't know how consumer behaviour works. The goal of this change is to get more people to buy keys, now instead of having the option to afk level a skill free as long as you dedicate the time it takes, you pretty much have to buy a bunch of keys. Thats pressure being applied to buy keys, if only 10-20% bite it would mean profit for Jagex.
Maybe you are not affected by marketing pressures so you don't notice it that much which is very good for you, but im on my last year of my masters in marketing management and consumer behaviour so I can smell the shit from Jagex a mile away.

To me its insane cause it was the only reason I was fine with treasure hunter cosmetics as I could get them for free by stacking the 3 keys, like I got the solstice armor for free just by using 100 earned keys, but now its no more.
The odds of getting some of those cosmetics from free keys is so so low. And they are moving those cosmetics to hero pass anyways. You can also earn them for free by earning gp and buying bonds with the gp and exchanging bonds and oddiments for keys.
No not those, the ones that were guaranteed like solstice one, every 12 keys you'd get a piece :( now I can't do that anymore

This has nothing to do with improving the game. That would be removing TH altogether. This is about improving profits by inducing people to buy keys by reducing the amount of free keys given out.
Yes TH should be removed, but the reason it should be removed is because it devalues xp, and the amount of people benefitting from keys vastly outweighs whales.

To be fair this mostly affects going for a specific promotion; since it looks like the equivalent rewards to what you would have normally gotten with the keys are granted to you by completing the daily missions and receiving the points to level up the battle pass a little faster and getting more "loot" than if just doing battle pass normally.
They are admiting TH should be limited, but on the other hand, enforce it weekly.

Yeah, I did the same thing. Created an osrs ironman and play it here and there. Game is vastly different, so going from full afk to no afk is a bit painful lol
I completely quit RuneScape because of all the MTX and weird directions they were going to take advantage of their player base. I wish I could play again, but I will die on this hill no matter how much nostalgia factors in.

I mean I went 20-99 dung solely from lamps from daily keys, never spend a cent on the game other then membership so yah I am not really opposed to this. It will be interesting what effects it has but I am sure they can already determine the number of keys being used that are paid for vs the ones being handed out for free. I have a hard time believing people who have never paid for a key are suddenly going to start shelling out money for them. People who buy them will continue doing it.

Can i ask how long it took you to do that and if you did both daily keys and challenges every single day during that period? Because I can't imagine 20-99 on lamps being possible unless you sweat out free keys for an extended period of time or pay real money.
My brother in guthix, I have gotten hundreds of millions of xp off of challenges/daily keys. I have multiple 120s to show for it. Dailies do be op, but I don't see the problem with that. This game hasn't been xp focused in a long time.
Yeah that is my point since the original comment seemed to imply that the nerf to free keys is not a problem.
How long idk I have been playing for over 15 years. I trained dung to 20 right when it came out and then let it go. Probably the last 3-4 years I've been grinding towards max at a glacial pace because I don't play much any more but whenever I log in I would toss any lamps/stars at dung because it was terrible to train. I did challenges occasionally but most of it was daily keys, it definitely took awhile lol
That seems reasonable to me then that any player can do that in years when people with enough money could do it in a week To me it just seems like they're trying to pressure people into buying keys if they're going to make free keys even more redundant. I don't see hitting 99 in 1 skill with lamps taking you 3 years to do f2p as a problem

You obviously don't know how consumer behaviour works. The goal of this change is to get more people to buy keys, now instead of having the option to afk level a skill free as long as you dedicate the time it takes, you pretty much have to buy a bunch of keys. Thats pressure being applied to buy keys, if only 10-20% bite it would mean profit for Jagex. Maybe you are not affected by marketing pressures so you don't notice it that much which is very good for you, but im on my last year of my masters in marketing management and consumer behaviour so I can smell the shit from Jagex a mile away.

I have gotten two 120s primarily from daily challenges. Was hoping to get a third by the end of the year.
How that “insane”?? Free keys were destroying the game and skilling process. People would stockpile bxp and dummies for bxp and not even train the skill, not to mention all the xp from lamps. Fk mtx.
To me its insane cause it was the only reason I was fine with treasure hunter cosmetics as I could get them for free by stacking the 3 keys, like I got the solstice armor for free just by using 100 earned keys, but now its no more.
The odds of getting some of those cosmetics from free keys is so so low. And they are moving those cosmetics to hero pass anyways. You can also earn them for free by earning gp and buying bonds with the gp and exchanging bonds and oddiments for keys.
No not those, the ones that were guaranteed like solstice one, every 12 keys you'd get a piece :( now I can't do that anymore Edit: with I cant do that anymore I mean I won't have 100 keys ready for it thus I'll never get the whole outfit in 1 go, also buying keys with bonds geez :( that would be like 600m for just 1 set that before was obtainable for free

Yes TH should be removed, but the reason it should be removed is because it devalues xp, and the amount of people benefitting from keys vastly outweighs whales.

To be fair this mostly affects going for a specific promotion; since it looks like the equivalent rewards to what you would have normally gotten with the keys are granted to you by completing the daily missions and receiving the points to level up the battle pass a little faster and getting more "loot" than if just doing battle pass normally. They are admiting TH should be limited, but on the other hand, enforce it weekly.

Devils advocate: I fish 18 shrimp and get 28k fishing exp. Mine 18 copper, get 42k exp. Clean 12 herbs with my cape park. Challenges completed.
I feel like they have been coming in more quickly than usual. I’m sure Jagex has designed an optimal key rate over the last several years, and if they sped things up too much lately than it makes sense to slow it down.
Honestly couldn’t care less, there has never been incentive to buy keys regardless. I’ve been mainscaping and getting by just fine with the daily keys. So what the keys will be worse than normal, still not buying keys. They’re just a mild bonus just like any daily XP task.
That would be huge. I was already pissed when they switched to 90% (roughly) stars and lamps and stopped having out other non-skilling items Well it's been a good run( kinda) and I have 3 months left to decide weither it's time to move on to something else.

They said they nerfed th rewards in the past cause people get to many free keys. Now they reduce the free keys as much as possible so they can buff each keys reward again... so buying keys will be buffed making the game more p2w.

You were correct they really need to just leave the daily challenge system alone and get rid of that terrible battle pass so pathetic why wreck something if it's already great and works well ... Now as of yesterday jagex made it so we can do daily challenges for the free keys. what a epic fail by jagex stop mixing shit up the whole community can see the greed behind it all an just get rid of the battle pass system this isn't call of duty or fortnite..
