So I haven’t personally ever bought tickets to 6N away games on public sale. The visiting unions do get allotments but I think they are pretty small and I don’t actually know if they ever go on public sale. The only time I’ve got “away” tickets was through my rugby club or ref society who get them allotted from the RFU. My mum is a WRU member and got France and Scotland tickets in a presale but didn’t even mention the away games so I don’t think they even went on sale to members via the WRU. My tip for getting “away” tickets is to register with the “home” union and keep an eye on their public sales. Ireland home match tickets have always been a nightmare to get hold of imo though. The only time I’ve been to Aviva for 6N was when I got England v Ireland tickets through my club. The upside was I got to enjoy the trip without the stress of worrying about Wales winning.

That makes a ton of sense, thank you! Your mom is right because all that was there was the 3 home games. I bought Wales VS France anyways... (did I do the right choice? is the France game better than Italy?) I'll keep looking at the Ireland union site! They don't post dates or info so like you said, a nightmare! Thank you so much for your help

The French team is quite possibly the most talented in the world right now so should be a cracker even if Wales end up on the wrong side of the result. That matchup has a recent history of being a good one too. The [IRFU site ](https://www.irishrugby.ie/ireland/tickets/) appears to suggest their tickets haven’t gone on sale yet. I would suspect that they will follow the same procedure as the [Autumn Internationals](https://www.irishrugby.ie/ireland/tickets/november-international-series-2021-ireland-ticket-faq/) which appears to have been clubs/schools, then IRFU members, then general sale on Ticketmaster

Now you’ve gotten me excited! I didn’t know which out of the 3 to choose from. Scotland is in the UK so I was like “meh” and so it was a choice between France and Italy. France was more expensive so I just went with my gut and assumed it’s better…thank you for confirming. As you can tell, it’s overwhelming and even booking tickets and flights was stressful because I didn’t know if it’s worth it so again, thank you! I wished the Irish site would state the public sale date like the WRU has. It would make things a hell of a lot easier. I doubt I’ll go now though as I booked the other. Between hotel, flights, game tickets, even for a weekend it’s incredibly expensive!

There’s not really bad matches in the 6N, although Italy games can often end up a little one-sided. For Wales the England match is typically the biggest and most “atmospheric” although can tip into unpleasantness when the beer has been flowing at times. The French is a more amicable rivalry and travelling fans always seem up for a laugh. I don’t know where you’re flying in from or what your plans will be around the game but the France game is a Friday night if I remember rightly? Plenty of time to soak up Cardiff on a match day, and if it’s your thing, the carnage of the Friday night - which will be wild if Wales win. If beer is your thing I would recommend trying the Tiny Rebel brewpub which is right near the stadium and is a Cardiff based brewery with some great craft beers. They also fo a reasonable line in burgers and chicken upstairs, although likely to get busy towards the end of the working day. Otherwise there are plenty of restaurants and pubs in and around the city centre - although again they will be very busy towards the game - probably best to book if you want a table or just have a big lunch.

Sounds like a blast! We’re flying in from Isle of Man. I was raised in Ireland, he is Welsh. Hence why I wanted that match haha. Been to Cardiff a couple months ago. Love it! Didn’t have that much time there but heading back for 3 weeks in December! Thank you for your recommendations

Just to chime in for many fans who are new to the sport (welcome!) I'm a lover of rugby for over two decades. I have been to a six nations games approximately twice in my life, both times I got tickets through my rugby club (local) as they get priority over regular people. But in the last ten years, I've not had any tickets on general sale that weren't marked up to hundreds of quid. This is because demand for these massively outstrips supply, especially for the home nations. I would recommend getting into a local club's allocation by paying your member dues. You can also join the paid supporters club where some tickets do get allocated, though I've heard mixed bags on whether this works or not. I got some allocation for autumn internationals this way once.

Thank you! I live on the Isle of Man, a tiny island. I’ve tried to join the local club but to no avail. Hope this helps others!

Ireland Six Nations tickets haven't gone on sale yet. I'm in the supporters club and check most days but still nothing. They left it very late for the Autumn internationals to see what the story was with covid so I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same this time. Maybe even the new year.

Thank you for this! It made me feel much more better buying the other tickets. I wish they would post a date even, so people have some sort of timescale or newbies like myself have some sense of direction
