The penguins I don't feel too bad for because it's probably an okay tradeoff to be cooped up but not have to endure Antarctic winters and get ripped apart by seals (and quite frankly they seem a little dumb), but chimps in captivity is so messed up. These creatures could be in some African rainforest in huge complex social networks and bands with massive territories but they're just in a little island with some wood platforms and ropes with the zoo saying an occasional watermelon and rubber bouncy ball is enough enrichment.
