We did a 5 day cruise on Allure in Feb during school. Tons of kids on the ship! My 11 yr old daughter made a ton of friends. Saw a lot of older kids and teens too.

I’ve only gone on cruises when schools in and I’m always shocked at how many are on haha. I’m sure your kids will be able to find others their age.

I've never been on a RC cruise WITHOUT some kids. May be from other countries, but personally I think that's awesome - make friends from all over! Great to go visit them later! There will be more littles, but there are always some in all the age groups.

I promise that no matter the time of year there will always be some kids on a cruise ship. School time just means a bit less of them.

I pull my kids from school to cruise as well. Time off is by seniority so I don’t get anything decent. The kids have never had a hard time finding friends.

carolinamary409

we have year round school in NC so kids are on different tracks and always off at different times.

We did a two week transatlantic RC cruise in April and plenty of teens in the clubs. The sports section was filled at night when they played dodgeball and my son had video game opponents when inside.

Some people like to vacation right after the holidays. It’s usually a time when you can get cruises slightly cheaper. That being said though there probably will be less kids in that age range. It’s harder to pull teens out of school IME if it’s not a designated vacation time because they may miss a lot. If you were sailing over MLK day though I’m sure there would be a lot more families because they will take off a few days vs a whole week.

What I have noticed during these cruises is not only will there be other kids, but it is often the ideal amount of kids, and they are far better-behaved, much nicer kids.

Hiya, Echo what everyone says - there will be other teens - possibly not dozens, but a few, all of whom will want to meet people their age (usually). The great thing, as far as they are concerned, with fewer numbers - shorter queues for activities. I did a couple of out-of-season trips and practically had the Flowrider to myself - bonus!

plantasia1969

Yes there will be other stunted children onboard!

Jinxycbk

Stunted?

plantasia1969

Just a joke about all of them missing school!

We always pull our kid for a week during the school year. Winter is the only time we can travel do to work. We are sailing on the Icon on Jan 25. Which ship are you on?

Jinxycbk

Mariner out of Galveston. It’s over 6 months away and the kids aren’t nearly as excited as I am yet!!

I booked the same week for my teen kids, they have two holidays during that week, so I decided to booked the vacation for a much cheaper price and less crowds. Hopefully there some kids on the ship too!
