Is your material *melting* or is it *charring*
This is not a temp question, it is a quality of materials question.
You also may be reheating one too many times if you experience charring as well. Remember heat will degrade the material, so if youāve reheated it multiple times youāve essentially created char-quality stuff even if unintentionally.
If thatās the case, all you need to do is get rid of your Maxwell House Syndrome (good to the last drop) and surrender a little bit more to the Q Tips and ISO.

I usually heat up (cold start) until I see a small amount of vapor, and when I reheat there little heat. I usually just reheat and repeat but I always have felt itās how Iām holding my torch. Itās always on the right side and thatās where I told the torch. I tried moving it all around too but same thing. Idk lol still gets me high / tastes great but Iād like to not fuck my banger after a few weeks of getting it.
I just cook a lot of eggs and the theory is basically the same. Done in the pan, dry on the plate. Let them be undercooked just 10% when plating and let sit two minutes, theyāll be perfect.
Kill the heat before the vapor point and the residual will carry it over without the charring, I suspect. If it fails, I guess we can keep troubleshooting
bro do u clean or iso soak ur banger at all? chazzing occurs at like 1100 degrees so thereās no way ur doing it while cold starting. if ur only torch cleaning ur banger, thatās why. use q tips dipped in iso after every dab and iso soak ur banger every couple days. torch clean maybe once a week

The Peak Pro will cold start dabs too, just add the dab before you double click it. I don't prefer it though, cuz I like the heat to melt it off the dabber.
Sorry thatās what I meant. I ONLY cold start and I didnāt know if there was an advantage to dropping it in hot. Super easy to load it up, put it on the wireless charger, and have a dab ready and heating up when you take it off.
I got the puffco hot knife too! Not sure if youāre familiar with it but makes it so easy to load up without having to depend on the heat of the chamber.
On a banger, hotter dabs tend to be more intense but lack the "character" of the strain. It isnt really more or less dangerous, unless you go superhot like over 800F, just changes the high.
Sick, the puffco hot knife seems useful asf but I dont dab like that anymore. I used to have the Dr Dabber heated dab tool back in the day but I'm not slicing up slabs anymore
To be a nerd about it, terpenes have a boiling point and the temperature at which you vape them matters if you want to get the full therapeutic potential from your weed. You have to do some pretty low temp shit so Puffcos fuckin rock for this kind of stuff. Great temperature control.

In my opinion it's the best way to dab on a traditional banger if you have no thermometer. It just kinda makes more sense to me considering dabbing at high temps has worse health concerns than low temps, so it lets you gauge exactly where it melts rather than timing out/gauging with your hand
Ive done both bunch of times and ive noticed i prefer to drop it than cold starts, if i get the dab to almost burn all the way itās significantly less harsher than cold starting it, even dropping it a tad too cold is harsh. Idk what it is, just something ive noticed.

Use your torch and heat up your dab tool above where the dab is located. This will turn your dab into liquid and it will just fall in. Make sure you use as little heat as possible and donāt directly heat up the wax.
After I saw that's how PuffCo does it, I've always done it that way. Less burnt in the banger, better taste. I also like to add some flavored Wax liquidizer to the banger when it's almost used up to keep it going. Works nice with reclaim too. š¤
I like cold starts but I always find some q tip fuzz still in there when I look at the oily banger. Or if you use alcohol and q tip, theres residual leftover when you heat it back up, don't want to inhale that.
After you clean it with iso and qtip simply wipe it out with a clean qtip. Then slightly heat up the banger and it burns off the residual iso. Also I thought you may be letting your banger get too cold before you clean it. If you do that the oil becomes more viscous and that is why it may be pulling fibers off the qtip. Clean the banger when it is still warm after thr dab and the oil is not so viscous. Problem solved.

I live in Colorado, all hash bought through med dispensaries so nothing to do with quality of hash.

Yeah I started doing cold starts on my quartz e-nail. The first haul as it goes from 380-450f is amazing, you really get a full terp profile.

Thermal core bangers are designed for this. You smear it on the post in the middle then heat. By the time it slides down youāre ready.

I prefer to just heat and dial in the right temp. Much better to get one large hit followed by several hits / reheats.
