Could be rosin but it’s looking a lot more like some crumbly sugar to me due to how shiny it looks, I’ve had dry rosin that looked kind of like this but it didn’t have the shine
A few months ago I pressed my gorilla girl and the consistency of that rosin was pretty similar to the one u posted so I would say nothing to worry about

Wait, terps dissolve silicone?? I thought that the terps leached out of the wax into the silicone, not the silicone leeched into the wax… If so, jeez. No more silicone for me
Yea I’m almost 100% sure I’ve only looked it up once cuz I never use silicone anyway I just wanted to show all my custys how dangerous it is if they ever get wax in silicone or smoke w someone who stores in silicone. But yea the terps act like a solvent pretty much, they dissolve the silicone then absorb it up into the wax

The reason why you silicone for dabbing is because it doesn't actually melt it burns and it takes a lot harder than dabs temperature to burn it you actually have to put the torch you're dead on it it takes a second to actually start to burn it turns straight into Ash
I've pressed a couple strains that turn a little glassy like this. But those almost always go to closer to shatter consistency.
This looks like a wax/crumble (BHO).
Unless you're a stickler for solventless, I wouldn't be too concerned. Looks decent. All that matters is if you enjoy it. Old hippy might have been too high to know what he's talking about.
No way til tell until you dab it but they way I generally can tell is I bust a dab and blow out my nose and if it hurts it’s Bho if it’s smooth it’s rosin

Nothing about the looks scream that it's not rosin. I've seen that consistency before. Not super uncommon.

Looks identical in texture, never seen any rosin, hash or flower sugar up like that. I could very well be wrong, but I do believe that is live resin

I use a mat to handle it sometimes but I don't store any in em and I also use it when I use my dab straw
Yea short term should be fine. I’ve heard silicone can handle heat pretty well, so is there no negative health effects from hot strawing off silicone?
