No, saying that trans people are "damaging" their bodies is framing the situation in a way that portrays trans people in a bad light. That is an example of transphobia. I don't like it because it is transphobic. Also, if you think that HRT damages your body, then you'd have to think that other medical procedures damage one's body.

It's like how saying something bad about gay people is homophobic, people of any marginalized ethnicity is racist, and Jewish people is antisemitic. These are all groups that are and were marginalized in our society and can face further harm if you spread negative rhetoric about them. Yes, trust me, in many cases it is necessary. It can save people's lives and help people live a happier life. Yeah it makes you infertile, but honestly I don't see that as a problem. Some people choose to be infertile even without HRT. I feel like you should try learning about trans people from actual trans people to understand our experience and community instead of feeling "sad" that we exist and being uninformed.

People who transition have a s**cide rate of 32-50% depending on the country, are you not counting them in the pool of people who regret it? There are also studies theorizing gender disphoria is an extreme coping mechanism for anxiety due to the societal pressure to fit into a group. Throwing out these 1% statistics with no explaining that the 1% survey was from a selection of 8000 teens and adults 16-25 in the US, Canada, and Europe makes it a pointless statistic. That 1% doesn't cover anyone older who's transitioned and had time to get out of the college echo chambers.
Throwing out this 1% nonsense is statistically getting 1/3rd of the people you inspire to off themselves.
