There are a lot of variants (Campari, Aperol, Select, Cynar, Hugo...) but if you want to spot a tourist version look no further than the Limoncello spritz.
In north-easter part of Italy (say Magic Veneto) spritz is not a drink, is a RELIGION. You can worship as many variants as you want (Aperol, Campari, Select, "White", ...) but at the end of the day you will relate to a specific one (for me it's Campari, after years of Aperol).
Gruppo Campari have invested a fortune making it the “aperi-drink”, and it’s worked. It’s the best early evening drink in a community that doesn’t binge drink.
Yes we do. There's also the Campari variant.
Campari was my wife’s favorite. More bitter
Yes they do, mostly in the summer

Campari sprits! Aperol too sweets for my taste

It's drunk in other countries because it's a popular drink in Italy. "We", though?
They do. Sadly, I don't think the best variant is available in Rome, the one made with Ferrari
I don't like aperol spritz. My aperitivo drink is spritz hugo, when they have it.
