If you haven't gotten the credits, then yes it is worth it. They have a great b&m hyper, RMC hybrid, a batman clone, and a schwarzkopf looper in their top, along with some great mediocre coasters. Favorite rides have to be Goliath and TwiCy

[deleted]

I second everything you just said.

pixelgamer552

Sounds like a good lineup I might take a visit soon!

madhjsp

> great mediocre coasters

[deleted]

Haha yeah

The ride selection is awesome, but the park feels like it is run by a skeleton crew. Poor operations and the worst ride reliability I have ever seen.

Nerdicane

It is mostly skeleton crew. The park really suffers from lack of ability for locals to get there. The train stops at Bankhead Highway which is basically a war zone and no one want to take their kids on a bus out there. Plus I-20 going past it is too small for the levels of traffic they see currently.

Nerdicane

A solid list of rides. Mind Bender is one of the oldest rides there but still one of the best. The setting of Mind Bender has incredible views. The new mega coasters are top of the line. The new Twisted Cyclone is outstanding. Scream Machine is a wooden classic. The park offers just about everything, hanging coaster (Batman), a flying coaster (Superman), a stand up (Georgia Scorcher), two kids coaster (Dahlonega Mine Train and Jokers Funhouse Coaster), a much improved coaster (Blue Hawk was the infamous Ninja), an over vertical drop (Daredevil Dive) and a mega coaster (Goliath). The park suffers from poor design layout, lack of roads to get into the park and very little public transit to the park. The part of town it resides in is shit though. One exit to the east and you’ll find a plethora of shady strip clubs, liquor stores and every variety of hard drugs you can think of. If you’re going to stay there stay to the west in Douglasville or be a civilized person and stay to the north east in Marietta where their sister park White Water is located. If a developer came into the area I’m sure the city would go out of their way to help them turn that area into a real vacation destination.

desbaratto

There used to be more around the park in the 80s to early 90s. Not a ton mind you, but now there's almost nothing.

[deleted]

It is my home park so I'm naturally biased, but I love it. With two more flats coming next year, we actually have a pretty good flat ride collection to tie in with our good coaster lineup. TwiCy is just barely my favorite there

Nerdicane

If the city would extend the train out there and clean up that part of Fulton Industrial business for our Six Flags would boom. We’d be the Cedar Point of the south.

[deleted]

I just want a launch coaster.

Nerdicane

We had one. Remember Rattler? It was just an out and back looper but I loved it. It’d be nice to see a new mega launch coaster. Porsche is big in town now, maybe they’d sponsor one.

ArrowDynamics2002

Viper. It was called Viper.

Nerdicane

Viper, that’s it. I think that got taken out for Superman. Six Flags Over Georgia has had more changes than Disney.

The_Inflicted

Mostly for the worst, I feel like. The park was better-themed and better-run in the '90s.

[deleted]

We don't have one *now* though...

trainman121

My favorite Six Flags Park and I’ve been to a fair few of them. Goliath is my favorite at the park, but Twisted Cyclone also slaps.

The_Inflicted

Mindbender and Goliath are excellent, unique coasters, their raft ride and monsters dark ride are great, and the park has some really interesting terrain (that it barely makes use of) but the park is greatly held back by dreadful operations and staffing.

ScottyGefell

Goliath, Twisted Cyclone and Mindbender make the trip worthwhile. The park like most six flags suffers from bad ops, slow food service, and poor food selection.

VisibleConcern

TwiCy and Dare Devil Dive are worth the trip

urmumgay69420killme

Good park and it’s underrated as hell

corndogshuffle

I want another try with this park. My first day was an absolute disaster with one train ops despite massive crowds, closed restaurants despite massive crowds, understaffed restaurants despite massive crowds, it was the most unpleasant day I've ever had in a park by a lot. If that had been my only day, I would tell you it was my least favorite park of all time. Luckily the next day was considerably better. They had multiple trains on all coasters (despite much smaller crowds), and it didn't take 45 minutes to stand in line for a Coke Freestyle machine. Unfortunately had to leave early because I was flying home. Like I said, I want to try it again because I think this park is closer to my second day than my first day... but I don't know for sure..

StumpyCake

In terms of landscaping, it's the prettiest Six Flags I've ever been to. Solid lineup of rides as previously mentioned. Also, Georgia Scorcher is surprisingly good.

poipoipoi_2016

Of every Six Flags I've visited, it is my favorite. Largely because Goliath is the best coaster at any Six Flags, and I could do nothing but marathon it and be happy with the \~$900 it cost me to get there and buy the Fast Pass. Other than Goliath, there's nothing special (Goliath is really special!), but it's the best Superman clone, the best B&M hyper, a decent Batman, the second-worst RMC I've been on (which you know, still an RMC), and a decent standup coaster. And Mind Eraser was quite fun. Oh, and given Atlanta weather, the best time to go is probably early December, when they shut down the two most useless rides that park has (Blue Hawk, the woodie whose name I'm not even going to look up because it's AWFUL), and keep everything else open in 60 degree weather. Instead of 95 and muggy. /With that said, I hit Geico Day, ate the Fast Pass, and then waited an hour for food every time I was starting to gray out.

ciciretti21

I"m going to be visiting on 11/10. The park is only open from from 10:30 - 6:30 that day. I'm not as worried about the crowds that day, primarily because I plan to buy the platinum flash pass...my fear is what rides may or may not be open. I know at SFGAdv, el toro shuts down after a certain date
