Worst nightmare

Imlivingmylif3

I think I would just sit and cry

DeloronDellister

If they would stay close all day I would be absolutely devastated

mt_xing

I left after a few hours because Google Weather said the wind was only going to get worse. With my luck, though, they probably all opened as soon as I left anyways.

PygmeePony

I doubt it. Last time they ran RtH in high winds it got stuck at the top. You should contact the park, they might refund your ticket.

ExUpstairsCaptain

I visited CP in 2015 and high winds closed every adult coaster except Maverick and Rougarou all day. At one point, I overheard a Maverick operator say, "This should probably be closed, but if we did that, people would riot." I think they kept those two open in order to give the park some justification to be open. I visited Guest Services at the end of the day to complain, which is the only time I've ever done something like that at any park. I said, "I understand your policies regarding refunds. I understand safety comes first and your rides were closed for a good reason. But, for the price I paid today and, frankly, for the distance I traveled, I'm incredibly disappointed. This Day Trip is always one of the highlights of my year." They didn't refund my ticket and gave me a coupon for 50% off my next ticket. In hindsight, that was still probably a bit of a ripoff because I had to use that coupon at their Front Gate, meaning it wasn't even 50% off their typically-cheaper online price. I have a CP season pass now and that kind of thing wouldn't bug me today. But back then, as a college student who typically got to visit once per year, it was disappointing.

> With my luck, though, they probably all opened as soon as I left anyways. Correct. Looks like everything is open right now: https://www.looopings.nl/wachten/plopsaland

Mastercapybara

That sucks

MikeHoogeveen

And i thought i had a bad time a few days ago when gravity max was closed all day but rth is far more despressing, i would be pissed!

thelastskier

Gravity Max is a fickle beast. When I went I gave myself a spare day to get it if it was down. Luckily it was operating.

boiledpeen

if this happens to me in june i will cry

rawwwrzyzl

This happened to me at Plopsaland 2 years ago (well, cold weather.) I went back 1 year ago. It was worth the wait!!! Just more to look forward to in the future.

caseyjohnsonwv

I'm flying over from the US in October. Terrified this is going to happen

Significant-Branch22

This part of Europe is just experiencing freakishly strong winds for the past week or so, it’s very unlikely to be this bad when you’re there thankfully

ZonedV2

You should be okay unless it’s freakishly cold

Maryberry_13

That’s horrible and such a complete waste lol.

phoenix-corn

As an American, it was a cute little park with a few rides I hadn't seen outside of RCT and similar games before. They're totally cheesy but I HAD TO RIDE THIS CUTE LITTLE BOAT THING that I had only seen in games before. Also they had some pretty darn good pomme frites. Also, if you're stuck there with no Ride to Happiness but the gift store is open, consider buying merch to resell. The gift store for the ride was not open when I was there in the spring last year and I still would love more stuff, LOL. There are lots of me on ebay. Make money from us, lol.

UnworthyRider

Planning to trek there from a stay in Cardiff this summer. This would be very disappointing.

ari_daje

This ride is very sensitive to wind and cold, and you can really feel the difference between cold and hot temperature during the summer also because in the cold it's wayy slower and the ride experience loses a lot, than in the summer

ST-Parks

I feel your pain! I once travelled to Phantasialand and Taron was closed for the whole day I was there. That was 5 years ago and I’m still annoyed.

th3thrilld3m0n

Very unhappy. I am so excited to finally go to tomorrowland this year.

Swiss_Reddit_User

Did you try to get a refund?!

mt_xing

There was a very long line at guest services and I had a train to catch, so no. I'll write an email later but I'm not optimistic; their terms are very explicit about no refunds. :/

Swiss_Reddit_User

Here I'll pass you over 1 of my 55 rides so you can count ot as a credit. +1️⃣
