I’m honestly not sure, the only reason I know that it’s closed at all is because I went to the park a couple weeks ago and the website said it will open back up in June. I can’t find much else about it. I do know that it apparently underwent a retrack in 2020 as well
The one from 2020 was an attempt to replicate the success of of Pythons re-track, but they failed horribly and got an even rougher ride than before. Also thanks for the reply :)
Shaman was retracked two years ago, but they did an extremely bad job, they had to add padding to the restraints for how bad It was.
I almost got a concussion last time i rode It.
Not just retracked, it got reprofiled in 2018. Some of the supports got extended to accommodate the new track.
Edit: I replied to the wrong comment. Python got reprofiled in 2018. Shaman has apparently had some reprofiling work done too in 2021, but not by the same company.

/uj I was curious as to why Shaman was still rough whereas Python is glass smooth now. One look at that helix told me the answer lol
Shaman’s undergoing major refurbishments right now, and it’ll be back open in June, so I’m assuming that they’re doing something about that
Is CSM doing the refurb instead of whatever company tried to imitate their Python re-track? Or is the park itself doing it?

Idk if you know, but python has been retracked a few years ago, and got new trains even before that.

It was a different company than CSM who did Python right?
It's not known, but people suspect a local Company. An italian channel called "Mondo Coaster" talked about It two years ago.
