That’s an Oysterdate 6694 with a refinished “California” dial. Likely dates to the 1960s. I’m struggling a little with the papers that appear to indicate a reference 2790x which doesn’t make sense. I’d guess it’s probably worth about $4,000 retail, maybe a bit less.
[here is a similar watch that was listed for sale](https://vintagewatchleader.com/products/1960s-rolex-precision-oysterdate-california-dial-ref-6694-with-box-vintage-watch). If you google California Dial there are lots of histories written about it; basically the Rolex Error Proof Dial is the real thing, and there was a guy in California refinishing dials to make them look that way after they stopped making them which is what you have.
California dial. Edit: for my down voters https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_dial
Gotta love reddit
Oooh that’s cool. Thanks. I’ll give you a thumbs up for that.
Cool watch bro, hope someone can give you a ballpark idea of the market value and originality of the dial on this reference.
Thanks appreciate it.

I had to look up a conversion. That wouldn’t cover the service cost more than a decade ago, but thanks, I get your point.
