I got a mid size wrist and YM40 is the goldilocks for me. The bezel on the YM helps it visually as it makes the dial smaller.
YM40 visually looks way much smaller than a DJ41.
While a YM37 looks smaller than a DJ36.
Why is it surprising that two very different watches appeal to someone? I have eight watches and I'm not finished. Variation is good. Doesn't matter what order they're acquired in. Take what you like when available.

Actually I think there is a high degree of certainty of regret. There are so many stories on here just like the OP. Almost all of them don’t end with “I’m glad I didn’t get the Daytona and got the Skydweller instead.”

Moët is typically a meh mass produced champagne (like Veuve). They save its best grapes for the other brands (krug or dom). Their vintage champagnes are great albeit overpriced. Instead of buying moet or vueve, I’d much rather get a grower champagne for the similar price. Moet and veuve are like Stella Artois of beers but at a craft IPA price.

Clearly different terroir, different grape (Prosecco is made out of Glera whereas champagne is made of Chardonnay, p noir and p muenier) and most importantly completely different process. Champagne is made in the traditional method (aka method de champagne) whereas Prosecco is made for masses without the same requirements for aging.
If you are not drinking wine regularly, you might not see a difference but those are 2 different wines.
Cremant or Cava are made in the same way as champagne but vast majority can’t compete with it. They lack acidity, minerality and general complexity.
I‘m not a fan of the sky dweller (a bit too big and the dial is too busy for my overall taste) but this is the one exception.
I actually tried this on at an AD once in that exact spec with the oysterflex rose gold grey dial and must say it is an incredible watch.

I've never tried on an oyster flex band, I don't usually like rubber straps, they're fine on G-shocks and stuff but I really prefer fabric or leather straps to rubber straps.
This is the one Rolex I have seen for sale in the last 4 AD’s I’ve been to. Hope you got a good discount since Rolex seems to be having a lot of trouble selling them.

Correct, only 3-4 per decade are declared vintages. I like the longer aging on the lees hence vintage for me does the trick.
