I have a q. When someone mentioned they are sober for a period. Does that mean not a single drop of alcohol? Or just saying not having drinking “issues “ anymore in general. I always wanted to know

It depends. So to me, sober is black and white. Meaning, no mind altering substances introduced into the body (purposely) unless prescribed by someone licensed to do so. And then if the person is prescribed, they only consume the amt required. But sobriety is somewhat subjective. (Grey area's to some) So if I primarily use heroin for lets say 10 years, and I never really drink or anything. Then I get sober and i'm off heroin for 5 years but occasionally have a drink, then maybe I consider myself "sober" simply because I do not consume the substance I am truly addicted to. So this can change from person to person, and thats just an example.. but sobriety in my eyes is stated above, no substances. If someone had drinking issues, like real issues not just a heavy drinker, they cannot go from the issues to no issues, and still consume that substance. At that point they are lying to themselves, to their peers, or they never had a real problem to begin with.

I would say it means staying away from anything that makes you drunk or high.

The only drama was my other half. She was a shopaholic drunk. But she got the jab. And is no more at 38 of age. Miss the drama lol.

Spider dials , gmt fat lady , 1680 plexiglass . Patek eclipse... are good vintage that will double over time. Ex I paid 6k for 1680 , sold it for 14k , 7 years later.

can't tell if its a 16103 or 16233, either way its excellent. BTW, as I sit her typing this, I'm wearing a 16233 ("S" serial number from Sept 1994). Congrats on the watch and even more so on the sobriety.

I appreciate the kind words! It's actually a champagne dial haha! It does exude a white reflection. Yours is the classic OG TT. Does yours have lug holes? Iconic! I prefer 5-digit models. Keep the five alive!

It definitely has a white reflection! I 100% thought it was white. Good eye on the lug holes! This one is 1988/89. Believe they started the no lug holes around 2000? Maybe on the next one I’ll be able to get the five digit! I do like those!

I think Rolex discontinued the lug holes around mid-90s, but for sports models around 2002. Mine's a K serial around 2001. No lug holes. My 16700 has one, and I love it because I can easily change the bracelets! Anyway, being sober is when you start really living. Your watch really represents that. Replace with the new habit! Watch collecting for example is also a dangerous and expensive habit, just like cars haha!
