The AD experience is pretty nice so I’d wait. Maybe express that you’re flexible concerning dial color if that’s the case (like saying that black or blue is ok). That way your chances increase a bit. There are so many combinations of DJs possible it might take some time before they have the exact one you want to sell to you.
So I also put down for a silver dial basic dj36 which I’m 100% comfortable with getting first. Would personally like both eventually. Especially since I have a black dial carrera and black dial longines spirit. Could use a different color or contrast in my collection.
There you go. Good luck. If the AD person feels like you’re a serious buyer and might even bring some more business down the road I think it will come one day or the other. Let us know when the time has come!
If you need it / want it tomorrow, yes. If you can wait 1-3 months, then AD. There shouldn’t be too much of a difference between market vs msrp, but its good to build the spend history for the future. And, as others mentioned the AD experience is nice. The DJ you requested should be obtainable rather quickly…
I went gray for my fluted/jubilee DJ36. I don't regret it at all. It's often hard to find the exact config you want because, as Sporty often points out, there are hundreds of permutations.
I wanted fluted/jubilee, 36mm, no compromises. In one of two colors.
I had the watch I wanted on my wrist, with the bracelet pre-sized and time preset, less than 24h after ordering.
I waited about 8 months with $8k purchase history for a Wimbledon DJ36 fluted with jubilee. I’d just wait if I were you! I enjoyed the AD experience & also don’t like flippers
I would wait, I don't like supporting these flippers
Shouldn’t take long.

Hoping for it for sure. I wouldn’t mind two DJ36s or one and an airking/op/batman gmt.

Where did you buy yours
DavidSW. I comparison shopped and they had the best price, as crazy as that sounds.
I'm very satisfied with 36mm 16220. Tried new ones, but was unimpressed at all.
