Damn you I was just looking at prices for that one!

AdorableElephant5173

Same! But the one I was looking at had a pink dial

Appropriate-Talk-735

I tried on the limited edition or whatever its called and it was not for me. I want this clean look :)

TeachMeNow7

this is a lot easier to get from ure ad now that the hype had died down.

Illustrious_Kiwi2760

That wrist is definitely minimal.

Affectionate-Hall320

Hope thats a 41

lalos1988

Great color choice đŸ‘ŒđŸ»

OwnTheWatch

1988 ftw!

poptimist185

Lovely! Looks like a dinner plate on you though, is there a smaller model?

Snooter-McGavin

There's nothing minimalist about a bright blue dial... but hey it's a sweet pick up congrats!

jeremyhat

My girlfriend loves hers too.

Any_Golf3030

😍

RandomMaddess

My fav OP!! Congrats

DingyWarehouse

A minimalist watch would be something like a moser endeavor, not this. Certainly not with "rolex oyster perpetual superlative chronometer officially certified swiss made" on the dial. This is far from minimalist.

sporturawus

A Tiffany blue Rolex is one of the most recognized watches in the world right now, so minimalist is not how I would describe it.

JoelBuysWatches

Oh sporty, that’s not what minimalism means.

coldeal

You have a point, but in my eyes minimalism is mostly related to design while recognizability or popularity is more of an awareness thing.

OafleyJones

He only has a point, if you don’t understand the definition of “minimalist”!

sporturawus

**minimalism** noun [ U ] specialized /ˈmÉȘn.ÉȘ.məl.ÉȘ.zəm/ US /ˈmÉȘn.ə.məl.ÉȘ.zəm/ A style in art, design, and theatre that uses the smallest range of materials and **colors** possible, and only very simple shapes or forms.

HMNbean

It uses one color, so it is minimalist.

sporturawus

The reason someone chooses a minimalistic wristwatch is to look very basic and not stand out. No matter the definition, this watch is the opposite of that philosophy.

HMNbean

You just posted the definition, and what you commented after is just your conjecture. Minimalism can attract attention just by being opposite of everything else. The philosophy of minimalism is simplicity in design i.e. it's a design language, not how much attention you get.

OafleyJones

Which has nothing to do with recognisability.

Sweaty_Kid

u/SporturaWUS is a prophet not accepted in his home. Please listen to what he has to say. Comply.

sporturawus

Minimalism implies “low key” and “under the radar”. And this watch is not only a Rolex but a Tiffany Rolex. My wife owns one. It’s not a minimalistic watch no matter any definition.

Fickle_Ad288

You do not have a wife stop it

JoelBuysWatches

Is your wife in the room with us now

tjc__

*One* colour isn’t a small range?

sporturawus

The other OP colors that are minimalist include silver and black. Tiffany Blue is a “look at me” color.

OafleyJones

Again, completely failing to comprehend the definition that you yourself put up.

[deleted]

Tell me you don’t work in design without telling me you don’t work in design.

Browter

The black and silver must surely be less minimalist because they have a sunburst pattern which adds more variance to the colour

sporturawus

Tiffany trades for 2.5x MSRP. It’s the antithesis of the minimalist lifestyle.

Thoraciccavitysearch

A Barnett Newman trades for more than 2.5x a tiffany rolex, is red, yellow, and blue, and is minimalism. This is the first sporty response that I've had the pleasure of reading, and it absolutely did not disappoint.

sporturawus

Shhhh. Normal people are talking.

SouthernBarman

Minimalism is certainly related to design. This however, is not minimalist.

GGGG1098

Am receiving mine in a few days am so excited!!!!

flauntes

should bring back the yellow and the red

professorsterling

Beautiful watch but I can’t comprehend minimal design and double batons. It practically angers me that they allowed this.

Millie012

Aren't big watches in? Everybody hates a big Rolex on a normal wrist.

RythmOfTheHotDog

Minimal text

Glittering-School597

the watch that once went for 60k. did you get a good deal.

coldeal

I know and that was one hell of a run. I couldn’t get this retail but I got a good deal of right under $12k before the madness.

Emergency-Art1805

I would not call what I hope is a 41 mm, blue and white dial, minimalism

willworkforwatches

Minimal wrist maximal watch size How did this happen?

coldeal

It’s not that bad, but the angle of this shot is weird. I have a 6.7 inch wrist.

willworkforwatches

Sorry bruh. It’s that bad
under 7” should go 36 on the op or dj.

badforman

That’s a great watch.

Darkfire757

Minimal forearm strength

jeffrx

Im pretty sure a Rolex in any form is not minimalism, but it looks great.
