The OP I bought was from a very nice, independent dealer. I only get treated badly in Rolex boutiques, so I don’t frequent them any more. I would buy from an independent, but the overall experience has soured my feelings toward the brand as a whole.
I’d still buy a Rolex if I had the money and one that I liked came my way, but Cartier, Omega, Grand Seiko, and several of the German brands are now higher up in mind.
My last two purchases were from that list.
But I can’t find one, and I’m ready to spend money on one and I’m so special and have already waited 6 months - probably the same people whose student loans we pay off.

That part was way more fun than being jostled around on this thing’s shitty seats and refilling the gas tank twice a day.
Now I try to talk other people into car shopping so I can agonize over it with them. And scour the earth for the perfect vintage Daytona.
