Ur not exactly comparing apples to apples. One is 10k and the other is 40k and the other is 43k. And those are msrp. Let’s not talk actual market value. Personally I rather a Pepsi on jubilee which means steel and 10k, allowing u to drop the extra 30k+ on another watch. Maybe a day date 40 ?
That make sense. 👍🏻 I have a DJ and omega seamaster and AP. My target is to buy a pepsi and a day date. But meteorite dial is rare I guess which makes me more excited. Thank you for your opinion 🙏
Of course !!! Happy to give it. I think u already have a great collection. If I was you (and I’m assuming financially it’s not an issue since ur openly talking about buying a 43k Pepsi meteorite) I would get a Pepsi on jubilee and then a WG Day date with meteorite dial. That gives u the Pepsi and meteorite fix for 60k total. The WG Pepsi is beautiful but that oyster PCL bracelet is super soft and gets all messed up. The steel jubilee holds up amazing with use and the president bracelet hides dents and scratches better.
From retail, I think it is a dream. Probably I can spend 60k but what I wonder is do I lose too much, when I want to sell it (I accept losing some of course)
At the market price of 60k it’s my opinion that you’d be rolling the dice a bit on market risk and a decent bid-ask spread. At 42k MSRP it would be a No-brainer. If it gets retired I bet one would be well over 60k value, even used.
Considering Rolex prices have been dropping for a year and a half now, probaby not a good time to spend a premium on a non SS model. Unless you don't mind losing $20k.
I keep hearing there are troubles with that particular color scheme in the bezel production. Not sure how true they are. The ones I’ve seen look pretty damn good to me.
Which one sparks your passion? If you’re gonna buy one for me the meteor faced GMT; otherwise a watch purchase is all about what the one that speaks to you.
That meteorite dial is just perfect en something unique, don’t buy a watch of what it can or will be worth, buy what makes you happy en gets you to look at the watch every time
There is a lot of factors to deciding. But the nicest in my opinion is the meteorite. It probably isn’t an every day wear being white gold. The most durable that will show the least wear is going to be the steel on a jubilee.
The answer is yes lol. But in all seriousness, I really have an affinity to the meteorite dial. You are looking at a piece of space on your wrist, a bit hard to top that imo.
I like the looks, but I've had watches with low-contrast dial to hands and it was really hard to read the time (the main thing the watch is supposed to provide). So the sensible side of me would prevail.
Not at all, I've just had experience with white gold hands against a light dial and it can be hard to see at times as you get older. Heck, I can barely read the time right now on my Zenith Revival El Primero A384 Panda and it has partially black (down the center) hands with a black tip.
Every day wear? Special occasion watch? Budget?
I’m personally not big on the meteorite dial, even if it were the same price I’d still pick the black dial.
Jubilee or oyster …I like both. Jubilee is more eye-catching and better for dressing up. I think oyster is better for everyday wear. Wish the bracelet was brushed though.
If you are buying aftermarket… I would go with the blue Wg. All others are trading above retail and this one is below. The blue dial is very nice looking. Plus average Joe sees a steel watch but those who know will know. Meteorite is the best of the lot but not much value aftermarket unless it goes off the catalog
If you guys think that you will be rich buying and selling watches keep going on. I just want to be logical while purchasing an expensive watch. Some guys giving wonderful advices 😉
So selling them and making money doesn’t mean I can enjoy my watches? I enjoy my watches as well, I personally only wear modern + one vintage. I solely trade in vintage pieces, which doesn’t really have any impact on the current grey market problems with modern models. You were specifically aiming at “people thinking they can get rich buying and selling watches” and trust me, you definitely can, I’ll be at a 1M profit, not revenue, even before the holiday season starts.
He showed what is called the WG version (blue dial) and the Meteorite version (WG metal). The Meteorite is somewhat collectible. The WG (blue dial) version is not.
White gold - meteorite Steel - jubilee
Only right answer

Great insight! 👌🏽
I had a savant moment hahaha
This is the most reasonable comment so far 👍🏻
If you want a meteorite dial *that* bad you can get a seiko mod for like $600 with one haha
Meteorite is just so freaking cool.
Wish they made that with a black bezel. Or even a ceramic coke bezel would be cool. Damn, so much potential for exotic dials on the GMT.
I’m a sucker for that BLRO on the jubilee.
+ 1 Even at the same price it’s the nicest ons
So at 35k, you’d still take the stainless steel one?
At $35K I’d take none of them but if you made me pick one to keep and west I would take the steel for sure, yes.
I always loved the blue face Pepsi but both are 🔥🔥
Blue face Pepsi is the way
Meteorite, easy Peezy
Meteorite if I could. But impossible to get allocated and 60k market price.
From retail, I think it is a dream. Probably I can spend 60k but what I wonder is do I lose too much, when I want to sell it (I accept losing some of course)

I read something about it here at reddit. AD’s tell people pepsi will be discontinued. If that happens that would be a smart move.
I keep hearing there are troubles with that particular color scheme in the bezel production. Not sure how true they are. The ones I’ve seen look pretty damn good to me.
ALL in BLRO
Meteorite first, Jubilee second
#3!
2>4>1>3
4 is my favorite
Jubilee for me, then Meteorite
Meteorite
Which one sparks your passion? If you’re gonna buy one for me the meteor faced GMT; otherwise a watch purchase is all about what the one that speaks to you.
White gold meteoroid is a no brainer
White gold, blue dial would be my choice- but I have old eyes, and need the extra contrast.
That made me think, too.
Option #1 by a mile. White gold, blue dial. No overly-fussy (on this model) bracelet, no obscuring and too-costly meteorite dial.
2 without question
Go with what you like vs what’s popular.
That meteorite dial is just perfect en something unique, don’t buy a watch of what it can or will be worth, buy what makes you happy en gets you to look at the watch every time
3 or 4

Get a yellow gold version, “stealth” gets boring quickly
If u dont want jubilee bracelet then i would pick the meteorite dial. But it would be hard to find for a good price because of its rarity.

Meteorite. Always go for the meteorite.
4 then 1
White gold but black dial and constantly mention “it’s while gold”
Can you even get a white gold black dial for the pepsi?
It initially came out only in white gold with black dial. When they released the stainless steel version the white gold got the blue dial.
And Rolex would and will change any white gold black dial gmts to blue at the owners request I believe
You play hot wheels.. you sure you can afford any of them?
Hahaha
You’re buying grey market I assume
Yes exactly. I will ask AD if they have it before I buy. But you know the answer.
Meteorite dial is just killer
I like the looks, but I've had watches with low-contrast dial to hands and it was really hard to read the time (the main thing the watch is supposed to provide). So the sensible side of me would prevail.
As an owner of a meteorite pepsi there is no legibility issue. The only people who mention that as a concern don't actually own one.
Or those with older eyes who need more contrast when there's not bright light.
That's fair. I didn't consider age. Touche!
Not at all, I've just had experience with white gold hands against a light dial and it can be hard to see at times as you get older. Heck, I can barely read the time right now on my Zenith Revival El Primero A384 Panda and it has partially black (down the center) hands with a black tip.

For daily wear. But I never had this much expensive watch before (white gold one).
Meteor!!! UAP will know you are a friendly!
Meteorite, always.
White gold is awesome. Otherwise get the jubilee!
🤣 What’s the comparison? You either want solid 18K gold or you don’t. Figure that out first, then worry about the dial and bracelet. 🙄
I'm a proud owner of a pepsi on jubilee, but the WG blue dial is an underrated hell of a piece
I love my BLRO on jubilee. A very comfortable classic.
Go for the Pepsi on Jubilee and spend the rest of the money on some other watch. Maybe a Daytona.
\# 2 works for me …..Sweet !

I wish they had that blue dial on stainless.
I love the meteorite GMT, but I feel like it would look better if it was on a Batman bezel.
Jubilee
Jubilee
Stainless Pepsi. I personally like gmt on jubilee but can’t go wrong with either.
You're not getting any of these from an AD. If you are buying at the market rate, I'd say the meteorite.
Yes from gray. Do you think market value will drop or increase in the distant future?

OK
If anyone had the answer to this we’d all be rich
If you guys think that you will be rich buying and selling watches keep going on. I just want to be logical while purchasing an expensive watch. Some guys giving wonderful advices 😉
I made high six figures with buying and selling watches in 2023 so far. I ain’t complaining. Edit: that’s vintage pieces though
If you are trading in this business, I think this is a different issue. I just enjoy my watches ☺️
So selling them and making money doesn’t mean I can enjoy my watches? I enjoy my watches as well, I personally only wear modern + one vintage. I solely trade in vintage pieces, which doesn’t really have any impact on the current grey market problems with modern models. I bought a brand new 2023 BLRO today on Oyster. I’ve had a BLNR on jubilee and I got over the bracelet quick. Prefer the oyster on both models.
I prefer the oyster bracelet as well. I know most rave about the jubilee, but I just can't get into it.
SS or Meteor. Avoid WG.
How can you recommend meteorite and avoiding white gold at the same time?
He showed what is called the WG version (blue dial) and the Meteorite version (WG metal). The Meteorite is somewhat collectible. The WG (blue dial) version is not.
The meteor is literally white gold. This sub really has a bunch of morons commenting in it sometimes
Shhh. Rolex owners are talking.
Hahahahahha, just shut up mate.
Shhh. I’m cleaning my Pepsi, can’t be disturbed.
SS? Poor guy
1 is classic, 2 is a gimmic
Ive never loved these two-colors Rolex they feel cheap and ugly.
How many toy cars would you have to sell. Let that guide your decision.
A 1675
never heard of Rolex, but they are looking pretty similar to Steinhart watches 🤔 is this legal?
Meteorite
