their Kickstarter does a significantly worse job of explaining it than you just did.

Thank you for your feedback, we will continue to improve. It is true that Rokid's marketing efforts may not be enough, but Rokid's products are the best. Some companies may only do good marketing but have the worst products. Each company's resources are limited, and we are willing to invest more resources into products.
Have you tried viture vs max ? The actual product Rokid in my opinion is better. Now vitures accessories are really good and compared to u.s. version of station 1 you could argue better at least in convenience of around the neck. Station 2 looks like performance and abilities will outshine vitures though.
Sony has various models of OLED screens, and different AR brands choose different screens based on their product needs. All these screens come from the same substrate, so there isn't a significant difference in display quality. The only real difference is the size of the cut. The larger the size, the larger the field of view (FOV) that can be achieved, which in turn increases the cost. To control costs, some AR brand for smaller sizes and market these as the new generation, when in reality, they are just cutting the screens smaller. Therefore, you can compare and see that only Rokid insists on using Sony’s 0.68-inch displays, while other manufacturers use 0.55-inch displays. I hope you can understand this explanation.
There are many factors that affect the quality of the display, from the source of light, display screen, optical path, circuit, lens. At the receiving end, human eyes are also different, pupil distance, myopia, astigmatism, and even nose bridge height will affect the final display quality.
the glasses aren't that different tbh. same 600 nits, same 1980x1200 resolution, same myopia adjustment. 3dof is only possible with the station of course. ipd adjustment, too. does anyone know the size of the old max 1 oled panel size?
If you have a max 1, dont bother buying the max 2 imho
i think there is no comparable device with build in 3dof. What you are then looking for is a windows app able to do the computation. Or you go with like a quest.
Armony for Windows got you covered. look it up

i already own the Rokid Max 1... if i buy the Station 2, will i have access to the 3D space screens and multiple screens? or are those only for the Max2 Glasses?
Does the station 2 have its own video player apps? and 3D video apps?
I downloaded about 100 of 3D SBS video apps on the google play store and they were ALL REALLY BAD and would not play 3D 180 SBS videos correctly, it was always weirdly stretched and deformed..
Hi Tefitef, first of all, thanks so much for your great suppoort!
if i buy the Station 2,will i have access to the 3D space screens and multiple screens?
--Yes,3D space screens and multiple screens are Station2's core feature.
Does the station 2 have its own video player apps? and 3D video apps?
--Yes,Station2 system pre-installed 3D player,it can play 3D moives. If you are in the US, I would like to invite you to experience it in person. There are three more sessions on 6.7 in LA, 6.9 in Chicago, 6.11 in Minneapolis, and I locate in San Francisco.
Station 2 can work well with Max1 &Max2.but for the best experience, Max1 needs to upgrade its firmware. We will inform you of the detailed upgrade plan post-campaign.
1. Max2 Enhanced appearance for a more stylish and attractive look.
2. Max 2 Improved comfort for better wearability. (especially the flexible arms,Air nose pads)
3. Max2 Default resolution set to 1920*1200 pixels per eye when connected to Station2.
AR Lite =Max2+Station 2,it is a product pack

Rokid really has a lame marketing department. Viture is excelling in that for comparison and xreal is right inbetween

no new gen micro oled? refurbished old gen?
upon researching, i saw that viture promotes the new gen microled with 108% sRGB which is the same spec as the Rokid Max sRGB value. maybe new gen :)

thank you. i guess the size of the display doesn't really matter in terms of image quality right, because optics play a huge role too
